I think the numbers in Turkey were taken from people whose phones were infected. Is this true? Are there such things in other countries?

I don't think so. And even assuming if any phones are infected, all we need is the SMS code that comes and does come. We need not bother if the phones are infected or not. We get what we pay for. If any person's phone is infected, that person must have some basic common sense, some basic knowledge, some self-responsibility & needs to handle that part. We are not born to please & serve everyone in the whole entire world.
In 5sim dot net, I pay to receive SMS codes and I receive the SMS codes. How it is done does not bother me even a bit.
And don't believe rumours. There are also rumours that Coca Cola contains dope. It is just a rumour and not a reality.

Anything is possible in today's world single malware can control your device from any corner of world. And never use these kind of services with banking , Forex , trading accounts. They can easily suspend your accounts.
I really don't have any interest in proving they are legit or not but you can easily find out with couple of $$

It's not illegal anyway, but there have been people who came across the phone numbers of real people.

I believe they just pay people to get those sims, install some software and voila.
They are from similar ranges most of the time, so it looks like it's just people mass buying them.
If it was hijacked, you'd get completely random numbers which doesn't seem to be the case.
