We've been running this service since 2017 where members have asked us for help selling their services on BHW. In the last few months, demand has taken off so we thought a post about the process behind selling services would be best to explain the process and provide full transparency.

So you've noted that the account is younger than the thread they posted? How has this happened?

Sometimes a member has the good fortune to be able to sell their service. This can be in the form of purely selling a service they list on BHW through to selling the entire brand or company through the services of a company like our very own Meathead1234 co-owner of FE International.

Why is the Original Poster different to the person answering early questions about the thread?

We do this for transparency - the Original Poster (LINK) was the owner of the thread at the time these questions were being asked. The ownership of the thread is then passed to the new thread owner (LINK) . We then re-review the service to make sure the new user can supply as listed. We then update the ownership of the thread and set live.

The ownership of this marketplace thread remains unchanged - but it's provided by a new BHW username.

Why not just hand over the BHW account?

Often a seller on the BHW marketplace will be providing more than 1 brand or service on BHW. When they sell their service, the buyer only purchases one of their services or brands so the marketplace services need to be split between 2 accounts. Can I split out my thread before selling it so I have 2 accounts on BHW?

What's the process?

1. We ask that a conversation is started with @Diamond Damien which includes both the buyer and the seller detailing:
   1. what is being sold (ie part of a thread, the whole service, the account)
   2. the price and
   3. date of transfer
2. We check that everything is in order running through our own due diligence to ensure it's all correct and above board.
3. We then put the new owner of the thread through the same marketplace review they would run through if they were fresh into the marketplace.
4. If they pass this review with the same results as the previous owner there are no further changes. If there is an improvement/downgrading in service, then we reflect this in the review.
5. We then create this thread - with the service as it was at the time of transfer (see below) explaining what's happened for transparency.

We don’t set the price. As per the marketplace threads you’d set the pricing, we assume if you’re motivated to sell you’ll set a price that suits your situation.

No, in order to sell on the forum you have to have the proper membership level.

You need to have a sales thread to sell your sales thread and you do not have one nor do you have the required membership to have one as you need to have a marketplace seller account or a Jr Vip account to do so.

As to what a sales thread is worth to sell that is not something that the staff can help you with as that is up to you and the buyer(s).

There is no marketplace for this but people do offer their sales threads now and then and we handle the movement from one member to another.

We do not act as a middleman per se as we do not get involved in the financial aspect of things like an escrow service or anything along those lines.

I think in the past year there were 3 or 4 that were sold so there are not a ton of them but you'll see them for sale now and then.

It is not done that way. Person interested to sell bst has to contact bhw first and show interest. Once live, you can bid.

This would usually be used where the seller is no longer working in the industry or has decided to no longer provide their service. They not only sell the marketplace listing but the method, their customer database, associated brand assets, sometimes the company behind it. Basically whatever they decide to list for sale. We verify as outlined in my first post above and facilitate the transfer to ensure consistency of service. Think of it as Flippa but for BHW services.

So, for example, could we list a marketplace thread/service in sites like flippa, empireflippers or feinternational then you guys here at bhw handle the marketplace thread movement?

Or would the sale need to be here in bhw?
