Can you easily sell a populated Group?

I heard that you could sell a group of 1mil people for 10k. Is this true? IF it is, does it need to be attracting certain people, or will any suffice? Also, if I were to make a group that would seem popular, (something along the lines of "largest FB Group" except I won't use that since it's already been done,) would I need to make accounts and invite people, or could I rely on people searching that topic. I hope this is all understandable.

It used to be each member for a penny meaning $10K... but now that groups are worthless, the price is down... I would say the most a million member group would go is $5,000... Groups that pass 5,000 members its worthless because you cannot mass message anymore. You cant even change the name if the group. ALL you can do is maybe post a link on the side of the group...

Really berly anyone goes on groups anymore. Now a days people are interacting on fan pages... Fan pages are worth A LOT! thats becuase you can send a mass message, not really a message but an update which is still worth something.

Fan pages are said to be expensive... ONE MILLION fan page is going for $25K to $50k depending on the category...

Groups are better selling 20 separate capped off at 5000 members so say thats 100,000 members all with the possibility to message.

Pages with 1 million as long as they are authenticated successfully and have a good niche are worth ALOT!

Yea, selling a 1 million fan page for $25K - $50K is implying each fan is worth $0.25 - $0.50. Even if the group is highly targeted, very few conversion rates can justifiy one fan being worth $0.50.


I've only sold a few medium sized pages but I generally charge $0.03 - $0.05 per fan and only build pages that are highly targeted in popular niches.


If you're careful and stay off Facebook's radar, there is pretty good money in selling FB pages.

from random pages with phrases...
to blindingly obvious things that everyone does...
a brand product...
world news story...

Something that ties in with todays modern day culture.

There's plenty of "popular" niches out there... my question was more along the lines of what niches do you find attractive in terms of having something specific to market to that niche or is the idea to just get a page big and spam randomness until it gets shut down.

I have bought and built huge fan pages, the ones that get shut down
are the random pages and those are spammed.

To have a large fan page that gets authenticated means I can drive 10k uniques
to my site daily.

Yeah I was thinking the same, your much better off paying for accounts with that sort of money and making hundreds of groups that size yourself, its really not hard. i saw a group get to 1 million in a day. one of those stupid i will leave if they start charging for facebook ones.
