YouTube monetization will only enable you to play ads on your videos. There are still a lot of different ways to make money from your account, some of which you mentioned. There's no issue in encouraging people to support you through Patreon/PayPal or affiliate links for example.

No the only question is if you're going to make money from it I wouldn't worry too much about making money if you're still small.

No. The only problem you will have is you won't be making a lot with these methods with low subs

Early on, most of if not all of your YouTube money would be from AdSense. Patreon and Merch only bring in revenues when you have a decent number of subs and It can be a bit disheartening to keep making videos without seeing any returns. Those mediums usually make any money when you have a large subscriber base cause people need some validation when they become your patron or buy your merch.

For a lot of people, that validation is a high subscriber count.

Ctr is quite low 1-2% translates to about 200 clicks a month right now. I'm working on scaling up. Probably worth mentioning that my videos are just re uploads so I don't mention my link in the video, no doubt this affects the ctr.

Yes, you can. There won't be a problem. I have seen many Photoshop Tutorial channels do it

u can make a song aswell and sing on with a record label put the song in the outro of your videos and voila u are making cash without google adsense .and will cost ya like 10 bucks )) eazy
