Dig through all the reddit mentions. There are some gold nuggets out there.

Other than that. The essential IMO is to start using reddit as a regular user. Jump on the subs you have a genuine interest. Forget about marketing for a while. Just use it and enjoy it. After a while start at look at how some things are promoted/upvoted and how some goes down. Each sub will have its rules and specific way of doing and viewing things.

Once you get a feel of that, you can dig deeper and start thinking about what and how you can naturally promote stuff there.

That is the 'whitehat' way.

Then there is the spam way. Bots and tons of accounts burned.

And short there is the grey area where you take the whitehat and help it with a few upvotes/ comments

There are a lot of methods and a lot of them have been mentioned in here already, you can make a lot of money on Reddit (especially with some creativity), but you have to be very careful or you will get banned a lot. As other people said, if you are planning on spamming using a lot of accounts, you should stick to 1 IP per account to stop them from being chain banned or you will have a big problem... also, not just IP but your entire fingerprint... you can be on a different IP but using the same browser and get smacked hard. Use incognito mode + different IPs for best effect.

I'm a newbie and am initially interacting with reddit, I see a lot of reviews about this. Using multiple accounts is a good idea, but I will use it when I really understand how they work

Doing/starting business with reddit is great this days with mass comment method,its easy to gain leads and upvote with aim of conversion.

they have separate software for advertisers. Or just interaction and trust

For starters you need to look natural with all your posts and activity there.
Direct selling of promotion posts don't work easily there.

If you learn the art it's are great source of traffic that's bit hard to convert.
