I've been compiling car crash videos for a client for over 3 years..
I found that there's a huge jump in views for these type of videos in february..

Old car crash videos looks like this:

4 - 10 minutes with 1k - 2k views..

Understandable because of youtube's "family friendly" policy

But in february this year, shit started getting interesting with new videos getting close to a million views

Is there a youtube's update in february?

This is interesting. Is it only in the car crash niche that you have seen this kind of February pattern ?

I've had that happen to me but different timeline. I don't think there was an update. Once YT gets the appropriate signals it'll expand reach. You may have found your views have slowed now. That's what happened to me - shot up like a million views and now I'm back to like 300 views a day or something.

look at the keyterms in the titles.
"fatal car crash compilation" thats more of an explicit title, which can result in your video not getting shown as much.
"bad driver compilation" is far more of a clickable title, becuase bad drivers are a known occurence.

Yeah, mostly in car crash niche..

I think this is it.. I reached 1.2 million views on one video but the views started slowing after that..
I'll do more testing to see if I can replicate the result..

Thanks, I'll do some more testing to see if I can replicate the result using explicit titles..
