feature image set

how to auto sets old posts feature image sets as the first picture in the post
i tried bunch of wp plugins ,didn`t work

any suggestions ?

Have you checked this - hxxs:// wordpress (dot) org /plugins/easy-add-thumbnail/ ? I guess it is designed for the same purpose.

You should be able to find this option in Guttenburg editor

You checked plugin hzzh:// wordpress (dot) org /plugins/auto-post-thumbnail/? It's great for old posts and is similar to easy add thumbnail

Check with this - https://hexadix.com/wordpress-auto-set-featured-image-using-first-image-post/ - It shows you plugin - that automatically set the post’s featured image to be the first image in your post content if your post doesn’t have a featured image yet.
If you want to select your own featured image, it will leave the featured image untouched and display your selection instead.

It talks about Easy Add Thumbnail Plugin which I suggested to op. But, it doesn't work for him.
