movies won't play from demonoid

hi
instead of downloading music i decided to download some movies off demonoid but all i get is the sound. the video won't play.

one was a rambo 4 in avi format but all i get is sound. im running it through windows media player.

am i suppose to play it through something else? i've also downloaded music videos but get the same thing.

i've downloaded porn videos with no problems so i don't understand. any help please. thanks.

I had this problem before too and I think you need to update codecs or some type of dll files on your pc. You should do a help search on Google and you will come up with what you need to update. Sorry I can't be of more descriptive help. I'm sure someone else here will be of more help.

Is this referring to VLC player?

If it is then you can't...

You'll need to get Nero or another program to rip it to a DVD.

I thought you just needed a player.

Just remember that when you install some of this shit to keep an eye on what you're doing. Not trying to preach to you bro but I DID get this from a torrent site and most of it I have not personally used. The parts of it I do use work fine and dandy but still.........

i've got dvdfab, dvd copy machine, ripit4me, and none of them seems to find my movie to burn it on a disk.

any advice. do i need to convert the movie to another format?

It depends on what you want to use for viewing the movie. If you only want to save the flick to disk and watch it on your PC (or someone elses) then pretty much any format will do. (I recomend AVI format)

If you want to burn them to a disc so that you can watch them on a standard DVD player then you must first convert the file to DVD format and then burn it to disc.

I use a program called Convert X to DVD to convert mine and I use Apollo to burn them to disc. Both of those can be found TPB.

Snatch up Nero bro...

You don't need to convert anything and it will take a small AVI file and blow it up to full DVD size which looks great on my 50' TV.

I get 700 - 900 MB movie files and rip them with Nero. Nero blows them up to about 4gigs and makes it DVD quality, perfect picture.

try watching a movie and suddenly the screen is filled with flying
saucers.

Yah well I usually just tell people VLC as a quick fix to their codec needs.

But in the long run I'd tell them to download the codec pack that Bel posted earlier. I just use the codec pack with Media Player Classic and have no problems.
