Hi guys, these are the inputs with a money site really important to me:
  • A = Money site about a "niche x". DA21 DR24. 5000 visits month.
  • B = Site about a "niche x sub-subtopic". Site was built 2 years ago on an expired domain and now it has stable 1000visits month with 4-5 articles. DA17 DR25 great great backlink profile.
  • Both sites are on same gsc and analytics
I'm thinking to redirect A to B. This should increase authority of A and also contents now in B should increase their ranking if they become of A (and I interlink it).

What type of 301 is the best in this case? This one?
B home - > A home
B article1 - > A article1
B article2 - > A article2

Or simply put backlinks into B articles?

Considering that both sites have traffic, there is only one viable solution really.

However, you have a bit of a mess in your opening post. First you are talking about redirecting A to B and then you have arrows pointing from B to A.

Still, no matter. Let's say you are redirecting A to B.

In that case, copy all articles from site A and post them on the site B. Keep the URL identical (except domain itself obv).

Then, redirect articles from old URL to new URL. And that's pretty much that.

Whatever leftovers you have you can redirect to an article dedicated to site A.

Write a short article about why site A isn't online anymore, how you bought it or how you merged the websites and redirect the "misc" pages there.

Yea I made a mistake, I mean transfer B to A. Ok.

However I didn't understand what you mean with the last 2 lines. What's the goal of this "misc" page? Can you provide an example?

Another thing: it's ok I redirect B-pageX to A-pageX, but what about the home page? Should B-homepage redirect to A-homepage? Most of the B domain link juice is on its homepage.

Ty bro

You asked a question and then gave yourself an example.
