can`t access wp dashboard

hey guys a little issue that just appeared to me
i was trying to change http to https on my wordpress site and then it give me this message

This site can’t provide a secure connection​

mywebsite.com sent an invalid response.

how to fix this ?

It seems that your SSL certificate is not valid. You should check it before redirecting http to https.

Could you provide some background so anybody could find the problem way easier?

how did you install it? Wordpress.org or via software installation on hosting/or managed WP

Do you have SSL? If so, do you have cloudflare?

did you change to https via WP settings? Via DB? via plugin or cloudflare etc.

there might be some caching involved as well over 5 years and still having issues with specific hosting providers

also make sure everything is rewriten to https on the database

if you have dashboard access (I assume you do, it just showing you an insecure connection message), find a plugin like ‘better search replace’ and search for ‘http://’ and in the replace placeholder input ‘https://‘ and cache (in case you’re using cloudflare make sure you enable “developer mode”

also check on multiple browsers and incognito mode

don’t act on impulses first let us know more information and don’t make any database changes yet

you might be to able use FTP and change that setting back manually

Access your WP database through FTP and change it back

No worries they have “softaculous” so I believe they have cPanel hosting and you have MySQL so you can go to your cPanel dashboard into your database and find the option from there

And on softaculous I’m sure you can modify your Wordpress settings in case you lost dashboard access and can’t force an http connection

Also it’s time to sign into Cloudflare and add your website there. Add your NS records and Force https once Cloudflare active. This should take less than a minute to an hour

then check in incognito mode
You could play with cloudflare settings if you’ll have any issues with https but I think that would be unnecessary

you can access your website admin through your hosting account.

If that didn't work, from your hosting account, go to Cpanel > deactivate any plugins that force SSL

configure your website url to be http instead of https
