if you're filthy rich every niche is a great blogging niche because you throw money at content and backlinks until you outrank everyone.
If you're not filthy rich then finding great blogging niches takes a lot of research. But, in general, every niche in which people spend money and you can rank on google's 1st page fast and without headaches is a great niche. But like I said, to find such a niche you'd need to do a lot of research because no one shares their great findings with you, they usually keep those golden nuggets to themselves and milk them until the big guns jump in and outrank them

It's hard to say just like that what would be the best niches for blogging. and if you want to seriously start with this activity, the recommendation would be to do thorough research and see which ones are trending and aren't so oversaturated so that you have some chance to achieve good results inside of them. You could do that by using Google trends, for example.
But, based on some general experiences that I have, I could say that nowadays Health and Nutra niches are pretty popular, as well as Home decoration, Dating, some finance aspects but they can be too saturated. The best idea would be if you manage to find something similar, maybe some micro-niche, and start working on it as you'll get a better chance for higher organic visibility.

I learned from this forum that if you want to make affiliate profits by being an Amazon associate, you should head over to Amazon and look at their commission rates.
Then pick out the category that pays the rates that you like.
Go to Amazon's Best Seller section and look for that category.
Do you see a pattern? Do you see products that you can get excited about?
Look for fairly expensive products.
I'm talking about more than 100 dollars.
The more expensive the product is, the better.
Once you've determined those products, look for websites already promoting them.
I'm talking about affiliate sites.
Find their XML and load their posts.
Not all of them would be commercial.
You should ignore those for the time being.
Instead, focus on their informative articles.
These are what will draw traffic from Google to your Amazon affiliate links.
Pay attention to these.
Do this analysis for several sites in the same product niche that you're interested in.
You should be able to see some patterns emerging.
The next step is to come up with a better version of that content.
You can use a wide variety of on-page optimization tools, but more importantly, you should create content that truly delivers the information that people are looking for.
You should also interlink to your commercial pages to call people's attention to action and awaken their desire for the product you are selling.
Remember that your main product is not the Amazon product you're promoting; get that idea out of your head.
Your main product is your credibility.
Work on it.
