How long should I give Ezoic before ditching it

I've been running adsense on this site for a couple of years and making reasonable money from it, thought I would give ezoic a go based on the higher earnings people report but so far its pretty much the same perhaps a little lower. Since swapping to ezoic I've notice annoying little bugs on my site, mainly effecting the admin area so it would be good to fix these but its not a deal breaker and with enough time I could figure out whats wrong and stick with ezoic.

How long should I give them before I make the decision on what to do?

Keep this thread updated please, as I was thinking about switching over from adsense to ezoic since I saw some good reports with ezoic. I think you should give them a month because they use ai to optimize the ads on your website to find the best spots to place the ads for them to perform.

if you have +50k of traffic, just apply for some ad managment company or adthrive/mediavine those are the best

Ezoic is really a mess but for some websites who are really successfull on ezoic optimization, it's not bad at all.

I would give it a month after a full optimization, to do that, contact their support to check your website. If you are on higher levels they will take it seriously.

I've had them for 2 weeks and my site ended up fuc**d.

Their cloud caching thing and whatnot ruined my website lol.

I just switched back on AdSense.

I'm not tech-savvy so it could be me and my lack of knowledge buy boy-o-boy Ezoic stressed me out lmao.

I'll stick to AdSense and switch to MediaVine or AdThrive later on.

The site has only cleared +50k of traffic a couple of times in the past year, when I applied for ezoic, I also applied for any other ad managment company I could find, AdThrive said no wanting 100,000 pageviews, no one else replied so I assume they're not interested.

Yeah, should give it more time. You should also optimize your ad placeholders. Use the plugin for them if you are using WordPress. As for backend issues, you can just change settings in leap or disable leap in the /admin section of the website completly.

Check if your Ezoic setup is perfectly optimized like your ad tester settings, ads.txt, check for ad restrictions, ad placeholder setup, etc. How many placeholders do you have? The more options you give the system to test, the more customized the outcome, which means a better user experience for visitors and more revenue...Check BDA and articles to improve EMPv. If you have access to Twist, contact support so they can review your setup or your dedicated rep if you are on higher level.

Why don't you try ezoic support first and ask them to solve the issue for you?

You should continue with Adsense , at least they will not cause any problem with running of rhe website.

I swapped over to Mediavine from Ezoic two weeks ago.

Mediavine Pros:
Much cleaner ads and faster site.
A slight gain in RPMs ( I'm already in a high RPM niche).
Better, faster and friendlier customer support.
No premium ad payments (Ezoic are crazy for asking publishers to pay for this).

Ezoic Pros:
Analytics reporting.
Better than AdSense.

The only real thing I could say Mediavine could improve on is the fact they seem to be slightly food/recipe bias. There is very little chatter on the Facebook group about anything else.

If you can get to 50k sessions then switch over.

like others have mentioned, i'd stick around until things optimize. also reach out to your ezoic rep and talk about any issues or goals you want to achieve. if not, there's a lot of info in communities related to ezoic. seems like you have decent traffic otherwise, i'd recommend joining the waitlist for ezoic basic, it's like adsense only better. and just as simple.

but for anyone else, i wouldn't hesitate whatsoever with joining ezoic

I thought I would give an update as its been more than 45 days since starting with ezoic, I've now contacted my rep to see if anything can be improved. I'm currently earning less with Ezoic (-5.23%) per thousand page views, I also note my traffic is considerably less when compared with last year however the traffic is fairly erratic and it is still within the normal range. I will update once the rep has got back to me but unless there is a positive change, I will be leaving them. I will still consider them with different site that is a more typical content site to see if gains can be made.

Unfortunately Mediavine said no, so far my best month has been 49k sessions

I've got a love hate relationship with Ezoic, I'm always turning it off and on and looking how it affects my Amazon commission.

I'm still not decided really, and it's been like a year and a half. There are some definite negatives, but I earn more than Adsense.

I'll switch to Mediavine ASAP.

It takes up to 3 months for Ezoic to be fully integrated, so I advise you to stick with them for at least another 2 months before you decide to switch back to adsense.
