OnlyFans is banning Russian models?

They have been recruited as highly trained to perform in the front line :D

It would be temporary as many people are earning by only fans , might take about 3 to 4 months to get unbanned .

You could probably open a bank account in a day, so it wouldn't take that long to get active again. I don't know fast account opening for personal banks outside the U.S., but here I was able to open a bank account in like 10 minutes.

I believe, it's just temporary.

It's not just Russian models. It's some of the Ukranians too. Almost 2M Ukranian live in Russia.

Not related to this, but OF doing "interesting" things lately: https://www.engadget.com/only-fans-...social-media-blacklist-lawsuit-113620306.html

It is restricted. Consumption is allowed, production is not.

Other than studios and production companies isn't it barely enforced and only on the books to appease some of the moralists ?

LFG haha, time to make some molaah from the policy

Even though OnlyFans isn't banning the models, the way they just place their accounts as inactive without any explanation is worrisome. I don't why, but it seems that tech companies love to do this (not give explanations) and are seemingly stupid when it comes to support.

If I were to run a site as large as OnlyFans, I would have at least one person whose job was to make sure models can select a working payout option. Instead of just letting them panic and stress out, they would have get a notification that they need to update their payout option. I would even give a list of Russian banks and banks located in Russia that were not under SWIFT ban.

"only on the books to appease some of the moralists ?" - moralist?? MORALISTS?? The is a fcking WAR going on and Russia is the agressor. Ofc the OF models have nothing to do with the war but the idea is to make Russia suffer as much as possible so there would be uprising and Putin would get shot by some of his own people.

I was talking about the laws regarding the production of adult entertainment within Russia. It's "illegal" there but not really enforced unless you do something that brings public attention to you by doing something like strip naked in front of certain buildings and social media rages about it in Russia.

Russians in general are not going to be able to receive money by any western country so ya onlyfan girls included
Haha be prepared americans and west, no more russian fap material for ya!

The subscribers who need ongoing services will go for non-ban affected "content" creators : It is as simple as that.
Discussing about the ban does not make any difference to the fact that there is a ban, because we the common man do not make those official regulations & policies.
And by the way, OnlyFans says it has restored Russian creator's accounts. But, it is good to know and discuss history sometimes.

Onlycoins (Dot Com) is the crypto version, and is uncensorable because it uses Bitcoin Cash as payment.

Kim Dot Com is also working on an alternative to OnlyFans and Patreon called K.IM

Onlycoins ofcourse can be censored : irrespective of the fact that they accept crypto. Binance is banned is some countries, right ? So why can't Onlycoins, etc not get banned ? Just because they accept crypto it does not mean they cannot get banned in certain jurisdictions.

We are talking about the payment system being censored, not the platform itself. The reason why the Russian models were blocked was a reaction due to the economic sanctions. Economic sanctions will have no effect on BCH, it can be exchanged (decentralized) for stablecoins, can be changed for other cryptos, or can be cashed out P2P.

Also a VPN can get around jurisdictions blocking the platform.

OK, now I understand : no jurisdiction anywhere in the world can ban crypto. You are right. I thought few countries have banned crypto, but I guess all that is fake news. You are right.
And also certain websites get banned in certain countries. But, I guess all that is also fake news.
Payment system ? So if some banking payment system can be banned for usage in a certain jurisdiction, you mean some jurisdictions cannot ban usage of crypto as a payment system ? Wow !!! So, crypto getting banned for usage in certain jurisdictions, is all fake news. I never knew that. Thanks for letting me know.

I have no idea why you are behaving so immaturely.

Crypto can be banned but they are still traded illegally, just like drugs and prostitution are illegal in most nations but can be found in practically every nation. Malaysia for example has the death penalty for drugs, however I personally knew people who took drugs in Malaysia.

VPNs can get around website bans. There are many people who post on youtube who are currently living in China, they get around the bans by using a VPN.

If you think Crypto can be censored, then - to be blunt - you don't understand how decentralized blockchain technology works. The whole point of the tech is that it's uncensorable. (Which it is.)

If you are using a non-custodial wallet there is literally no way for the government to stop a blockchain transaction from happening, unless they take over 51% of the network. (If you look at the money and computer resources that would take for Bitcoin, you'll see why that isn't going to happen.)

I advise you to do more research into blockchain technology, and also into peer to peer trade regarding crypto. Like drugs and prostitution the governments power is limited. The only people who listen to the bans are people who blindly follow rules. (XRP was 'banned' from being traded due to the SEC investigation, but there are still ways of trading XRP, provided you have XRP in a non-custodial wallet.)

We are on a black hat forum.
