what's up guys

a month old domain just started to throw some articles on it that i have a question about the SERP

is it normal for keywords once article published to rank on for example page 4-5 or whatever a day later it disappear or derank to page 20 then rank page 5 all within the first a few days

this is first brand new blog ive built myself to watch its growth from scratch and not sure if what's happening is normal

how was your blog early days look like?

It depends on multi factors you are dealing.

Niche, difficulty level of keywords you are focusing , competitor's actions, etc.

But the massive change like you have mentioned is not a normal one on my point of view.

I'm experiencing the same thing on my month-old blog. Keywords rank in the top 10, then page 5, dropping out of SERPs, deindexing, reindexing, and everything you can imagine. I think it's normal for new blogs as they have 0 authority in Google's eyes.

That's how google works.
Depending on the trust google has for your website, you will rank for certain search terms faster, some slower.

Yes, it is possible but you have to take your keywords difficulty level into consideration.

Nothing strange, to be quite honest with you, if you go through this forum, you'll see that many people have faced or are still facing similar problems. Since the recent algorithm update in November, nothing was the same and ranking shifts happen too often.

But, you could still check some things like the quality of keywords you're using, backlinks, level of competitiveness you are facing in your niche, general quality and performance of your site, and so on. All these factors can also have an impact on how you are ranking and how well your chances are.

What you are seeing is Google dance and is common for new blogs. After some time, rankings will become stable.
