is AAtools the best proxy checker out there?
I want a paid proxy checker

A few days ago i bought this tool: http://infor-mation.info/en/proxy-tool/
It's great to get fast working proxys from a specific country. It can crawl websites for proxys too.
But i am not sure if this is the best proxy check tool because i don't know other proxy checker...

I've heard it is, dunno tho

Therein lies the important question.

If you don't know why, even if it was (which it isn't exactly) you wouldn't be able to use the options that would make it better anyway. So what's the appeal of a paid tool over a free one except that you think it's better because you paid money for it?

Because I tried charon and its a pain I dont want to deal with, I have one called Proxychecker that works great, but I want a better one

AAtools is pretty much the exact same thing, but with more options most people don't even use.

You load in proxies. You check proxies. What is there not to get?

If you have crappy proxy sources, a more expensive checking tool isn't going to magically make them work better for you.

I tried charon and finding the right judge and whatever other BS I have to do i dont want, I want something I can open up and it'll be ready without any thought on my part

The proxies aren't the problem

I'm not trying to be argumentative (I may have been earlier, it was late, haha), I just want to make sure you're not fooling yourself about what these programs do.

From the guide here (and the creator of the program), it is recommended to use Internal Judging. That should eliminate any "judge finding BS" you have a problem with.

Also, once you've done the initial setup, you literally only have to paste the lists in and go to work. There's no extra configuration to do after you've set everything once.

So again, I'm not sure what exactly how your problem can be solved. If Charon is properly configured (which is really as simple or simpler than the exact steps I outlined in the guide) and you're not getting the results you're after, the issue is most likely your computer or your connection. Getting a more sophisticated tool isn't going to help you, just redouble your frustration.

You can maybe find AAtools floating around online if you're really interested, but I've used it extensively and I can tell you for almost stone fact that it's not going to change much for you.

If you want me to walk through it with you, it's no problem. Reply in the thread so people can see it and learn if they have a similar problem, or PM me if it makes you more comfortable. But I'm telling you, there's no real magic to proxy checking. You get what you get.

Ok, question for you apekilla.. or anyone else

is there any proxy checker you know of that could automatically check the proxies every so many minutes and export the working ones to a text file?

Hi CSalt2,

I'm pretty nobbish in the proxy department but I used apekillape's tutorial -quick n dirty guide to charon and managed to configure it without any problems. :) So you should definitely take another look at it.

On the other hand, if you're in a buying mood you can check the proxy from scrapebox. It can import, export to txt file. Plus the additional features, it s a bargain at $47.

Another one that I really like is the built in checker from Hrefer. But you need to have Xrumer in order to use it.

charon for reliability but slow plenty of tutorials about
to use it posted on many forums

yea guys I ended up using Charon, and its good enough, but for what i'm doing i need something that can return the proxy speeds, I couldn't figure out how to get Charon to do that.... any advice?

The truth is (at least for me) is that digging around the internet for free proxies is a waste of time.

I don't use free proxies, and your comment is useless, probably bumping your post count.

I need a way to check the proxies speeds, so far i've discovered scrapebox and proxyway....

anyone got any REAL advice on this?

charon returns ping speed

It does that without any problems. My settings in charon - connect options are
HTTP Proxies tab
Check proxies for HTTP - checked
Resolution | Resolve proxies to hostname- checked
Connect | Check Connect ability checked

The bold option should be the one responsible. If it doesn't work, look at the screenshots from apekillape's tutorial or drop me a pm.
