selling yt channel how to avoid scam?

im about to sell my yt channel and buyer want me to add him as owner, then he send me money, after i get it then i will do him as primary owner and removes me.

my question is, when i will add him as owner can he change role from owner to primary owner on his side and then remove me?

He can. Haven't watched that video but it's misleading if it says that you can't.

However, one can't become primary owner if they weren't part of the account for at least a week. So he won't be able to do it for the first 7 days, nor would you be able to upgrade him.

I'd suggest against providing any access to the channel before payment. Even as a regular manager, he can do things like deleting videos. Only permission difference between manager and owner is the ability to manage permissions. Everything else works.
Best option is to trade with a middleman on a platform such as epicnpc.

But that dosent mean an owner cannot make himself the primary owner. HE CAN AFTER 7 DAYS TOO.

TLDR The video info is right but this is the internet we talking about and people find tricks/loopholes for everything so better be safe than sorry.

There are so many tricks that scammers are using to steal YouTube channels with brand accounts. Do not invite anyone into your channel until he has made the full payment. You can use an Escrow system alternatively.

So, I'm in the opposite situation, I bought a channel and the primary owner made me admin more than 7 days ago. I don't see any option to remove him and make myself primary owner so how would the scammer do it in this case?

I can make it myself since I have access to the primary owner email but I don't think I can do it from my admin-role account.

I dont know if there is any admin role. If you mean owner then you can and should remove him if you have paid for the account and have it for more than 7 days now. You can go into google accounts page and in search type 'brand' they will give you and article which has link to manage permissions of brand channels. select the brand channel you want and rest should be simple UNLESS you get cockblocked by google . Because there is an issue with managing those permissions, its a high security task which google protects heavily and if you have bought the email from somewhere then it will give you an error saying that it cannot verify you. But if you are the original owner there should be no issue hopefully.

mate, here's my advice: no matter how good the offer is and what bullshit he's feeding you - ALWAYS use an escrow service for this kind of deals, no other way to guarantee it will go the right way.
