Google has to fix its shit

This indexing issue is getting bigger and bigger. I published a page 8 days ago, and it has started getting traffic from other pages of my website and social media the next day. Yesterday it had 689 pageviews, freaking 689.



But the page still isn't on Google!!!



What do they want from us? The page has unique content, the website is authoritative, people are visiting the page and even staying on it for several minutes.

What else can a page have to be worth getting indexed?

You know how they had to implement the sandbox to have time for the algo to check the website and make sure it isn't a bad apple? I suspect that this is the future of indexing as well, and this will be done till they figure out a way of stopping automated content websites from ranking so high so fast.

The situation is awful with indexing even on authority sites and I checked a dozen, some of them have content that was published a month ago and still not indexed. I guess something is broken at google and it's not that they are doing it on purpose.

This makes sense. Perhaps, they've really made the indexing process slower while they try to figure out a way to deal with ai content.

For some reason google loves indexing my adult niche site within 1-2 hours when submitted through the google search console. The domain is 10 years old though. As far as traffic is little, 150ish daily.

It also might be because of mobile first indexing, indexing problems became visible as they kept rolling that out. And now it's completely rolled out and we have a nightmare.

If you get the message ," URL is not on google - Coverage : URL is unknown to Google" : This means that Google hasn't indexed the URL either because it hasn't seen the URL before, or because it has found it as a properly marked alternate page, but it can't be crawled. To fix, run a live inspection, fix any issues you might see, and submit the page for indexing.

If you get the message “url is not on google: indexing errors” it means that Google has either removed the URL from their index because they could not access it or it’s not in their index because when they first tried to crawl , it was not available.

Follow these steps ,
Open a new browser window and navigate to the URL. If it loads ok then go back to GSC and click the TEST LIVE URL button.
Google will re-fetch the page and give your more details. If it was a temporary error, you can click the REQUEST INDEXING button to re-submit the page to Google
If the page does not load in the browser, you need find out what the problem is and then revisit GSC, click the TEST LIVE URL and then REQUEST INDEXING.
If you cannot solve the error then consider adding a “noindex” header tag to the page and remove it from your sitemap. This will instruct Google to stop accessing the page and to stop reporting any errors related to this page.

I have the exact same situation and was worried from the last month thinking that it was just only my site that is having indexing issues. Also, the traffic is very weird these days. Some pages get good traffic, suddenly they fall and some others rise randomly. My several years old posts which used to rank higher are showing too much rank variations.

Google never bothers about webmasters. Their only concern is users. If the users find terrible results on Google for a month, then Google will fix their shit without anyone asking for it.

1) they have enough contents on SERPs, so only want to index apparent high quality articles, sure, spam shits still get indexed if you persist, but this is not easy as past.
2) they DID say try to lower the crawl rates and improve the crawl efficiency and go carbon 0 as fast as possible, they don't want to index shit sites anymore, result in many people's new site got stuck in limbo state.
3) they are flirting with AI content spam shits and scratching head to prevent the GPT-N apocalypse before its too late.

Indexing and crawling are broken since December 2020 and they won't do shit to fix any of it. They are just ignoring it completely

I think they're deliberately slowing it down to deal with AI-generated autoblogs. Like everything else Google does, legit sites get hit in the process.
