Hey guy - I have about 25 sites that are a mix of autoblogs/amazon/adsene affiliate sites and niche mfa sites. I am confused about one thing.

When I look at my amazon stats i see total clicks: 1272
When I look at Adsense I see page impressions: 5

How are my page impressions next to nil, if amazon is saying that I am getting good traffic?

Also for example, yesterday my analytics says that I have 272 visits to one of my autoblogs. My google for yesterday says page impressions: 5.

What's the deal with adsense? My page impressions are ridiculously horrible, and I never get clicks - which is not the answer I am looking for today. I am trying to figure out why it basically says no one dropped by.

Can someone give me a hand here?

thanks John

Are your adsense channels set up correctly? Are your adsense located at the bottom of the page or below the fold? How many amazon ads do you have per page compared to adsense?

How you are getting traffic, for example you are ranked for "My Site" When they click that in G search does the page they see have adverts on it? Or is it only when the full content is viewed? Which would be a problem if your excerp size is too high and they are seeing the full post without seeing the ads.

This is a problem if you have the ads only appear on the post page and they are looking at a category page for example.

If anything check webmaster tools to see what you rank for and click on it in the SERPs like a user and see if there are any adverts, thats probably why you aren't getting page impressions.

hey guy - no i never spent much time with the channels. i normally simply create the ads then fire them up. Also Dangazzm - i have them on every single page from categories, to home, to posts to about us.

i cant figure this out.

First of all, this is a pain I KNOW TRUST ME I did the same thing, go back through all of your sites and make A new code with channels so you can see which sites are making and which sites aren't and you can find out which ad placements are working the best for you!

If this doesn't clear up the issue, what plugins are you using to display ads? Any? Don't use any if you don't need to I know I don't cause some of them are rumored to steal your ads, all without you knowing! I hope you can get to the bottom of this, ill help out as much as I can!

I'm using "adsense now!" do you guys know anything about that one?

I have seen Amazon count Spiders as visitors. Adsense never had that problem.

Not sure if this is how you are getting the huge hits to Amazon but I suspect it is.

Could be, then again this is QUITE an inflated number in comparison... unless then sent THAT MANY bots to his site rofl... but still, could account for some of it.

I would just read the PHP ;) Its really not THAT hard, writing is a little more difficult.

But basically you find where you wanna put the ad, for example. You want it below the title on post pages. Find post.php OR singlepost.php then find the command that says get title and post the code right under that, it will be above the fold and right in the readers line of sight, great position for the most part IMO.

EDIT: Oh yea and this way you can use channels :D So you can accurately track which sites are earning and which ones need work!

i cant figure it out. Ive spent a week on thie. My analytics tell me 154 visits a day on a new site but my adsense report shows 3 page impressions. I have 3X ads on each and every page of my site.

Has anyone ever had this problem?

Thanks,
