Actually cpanel is best out there, if a hosting company is not using one there's something wrong with it. Direct admin, plesk and hpanel are no were near. Custom one are even worse like siteground and wpengine is way too complicated and time waster. It could be you hosting, as others have suggest.

It is the plan which may be causing this. Get in touch with the CC and ask them to fix this. If this repeats, you should consider better hosting plan or the hosting itself.

2nd switch your hosting , you are complaining about some 2 or $3 hosting for god sakes

Namecheap is bad for hosting.
Many errors even with simple WP sites.
Move to any other reputable hoster, and not domain name registrar.

I always recommend using Direcadmin and not cpanel. The cURL error can be fixed by your hosting provider. if it's Namecheap, their support is really good, contact them.

You should talk to their live support once.
I am assuming you are on Shared Hosting plan of theirs and they do have some limit with curl requests on shared plans.
