And if you absolutely must do it, ask them whether they're OK with it first, and if they agree you might want to build other quality links to those pages which will actually be better anyway because the quality tier 2 links will help your quality tier 1 links more than software blasts

Guest post links belong to internal page links, and their authority is not high, i wonder are they also powerful backlinks?The guest post should be strong enough by itself, building tier 2 links can get your link removed and the site owner usually won’t appreciate it. You’re better of spending the tier 2 link money on a stronger guest post
