So what's a fair price for proxies? I'm talking paid limited access ones of course - not a list of public proxies or a program that finds/manages public proxy lists for you. I'm not interested in either of those.
It's a cross section between knowing exactly what you need for the job, knowing what the acceptable budget is, and reviewing the options available after that.
I use Packetflip shared proxies for pretty much everything, as I do a lot of scraping and similar work where I need reliable proxies that will stay up but are not in the same c-block. There have only been a few not-gleaming reviews for his service, and every single one was because the IPs didn't work well for craigslist any more. This has nothing to do with the quality of his proxies at all, and it was only because so many people were using his service from here that they all used it up.
When I do something where I need throwaway one-off proxies that change daily, I grab a list from Jammo/Proxygo's private forum. It's essentially the same as grabbing a list from a decent proxy list forum (like the one here), but he personally hunts the proxies and compiles the lists himself daily, so it's a lot more reliable if that's what you need.
If you don't mind being all in the same C-block, I just tested RollingDeep's service a few days ago, and those IPs are ridiculous fast and reliable. They're all completely private as well, so if the price is worth the revenue you'll be generating with them then I'd definitely take a good look.
Most people don't seem to want to discuss exactly what they want the proxies for (which is understandable, methods are sacred) so it's hard to directly recommend. But if you or anyone wants to ask privately, feel free.
