Review:
Used this service for a few years now and it's been fairly consistent.
Pros -
Cheap price for access to residential proxies
Multiple locations supported
Handy UI via Network Access for creating bulk proxies and in the format you want
Random Vs Sticky IP option
Cons -
Some locations have very limited proxies, will cycle through the same IP frequently
The speed makes a good chunk of the proxies unusable, massively oversaturated userbase?
This service definitely has it's place. However, there are a lot of proxies I come across that aren't stable and/or ultra slow to be point of being unusable. I mostly use this service with my account signup bots, which work OK for quick signups. But there are a lot of fails or slow proxies that cause processes to time out and move onto the next signup. Since it's automated, I'm not massively bothered by this, but it would be way too frustrating to use manually.
I guess it's a trade off for having access to a large pool of residential proxies at a relatively low price. However, I'd love for Packetstream to focus on making the proxies faster / more stable. So if the speed issues are caused by oversaturation, maybe increase prices along with offering the Packeters (proxy pool providers) a larger % to incentivise an even larger pool. Maybe have a way to screen out Packeters who have abysmal connection speeds (assuming it's not caused by oversaturation).
I'd love to be able to use this service for more than quick account signups, such as account management using sticky proxies. But there's no way I'd be able to do tasks for up to an hour before a proxy loses connection or it slows down too much.
All proxies are connected to via a European VPS for UK proxies and a US VPS for US proxies. So if you were connecting to PS from your home broadband, I imagine the problems above would be worse?

Used the service for years. It's good for quick account signups, but proxy speed and stability can be a big issue. Would recommend it for signups but not account management / manual usage. The service has a lot of potential and with greater incentives to expand the proxy pool + increased prices + fixing speed/stability issues, it could have a lot more applications than signups.
