Hello Folks,

So, here's another doubt, that I have and this is getting very confusing.

When you build backlinks from Guest Posts to your moneysite, do you link your homepage or the content page?

Or is there a ratio as such that one needs to follow in order to get authority and juice.

Link to your content page since that’s what you’re probably trying to rank.

You can do both.

Homepages usually have around 60% of overall links. If you focus solely on the money page there will be imbalance.

Your homepage is important because it is the root directory of your site. If it has enough links, other urls on your website will start to rise in the rankings. But usually many people backlink to the page url they want to rank for.

But, does this process help in increasing my Domain Rating / Domain Authority?

Okay! But, what happens if my homepage only have 10 to 15 latest blog post archives?

Does it help spread the link juice to my entire website?

Okay understood.

My homepage may not have links to all my blog posts or every archive pages of my site.

So, please let me know, what do you mean my - if it has enough links.

It depends on what you want to do, if you want to increase the authority of your site then point them towards the homepage while if you want to rank a particular page you will have to point them towards it.

Thank you! Got your point.

I like pointing to article pages as a more cautionary measure to make the links appear natural. I usually will point 80% of links to articles as that is what people naturally link to anyways, and do 20% to home page and other money pages.

Many thanks!

Did you see any positive impact or increase on your DR /DA over a period of time?

Every industry has its own competition. Therefore, the backlinks you need to have more than your competitor and must be "quality". So for example, you can get to page 1 with 1 link and a good article for the word "pram". However, if your competitors have quality links for the word "pram", you should get more links. Where you stand is determined by the "quality" of the websites you will get backlinks from. Do not measure this quality with absurd tools such as pa, ur. Because for $5 you can find sellers who can make your website 60 DA on fiverr.

Also, you shouldn't expect everything from backlins. The article you will write determines your rank in serp. Because you can bring a page with a 50-word article to the 1st rank with several methods. However, after a few weeks, google can sandbox the entire page of the website.

Finally, a little advice, make sure all the pages on your website are linked to each other. Having a page that cannot be reached with internal links can cause index problems.
