I don't plan on building a complex application. Just something simple like auto posting, likes, share, etc..

Python would prob be a lil easier for you to use, and a lot less overhead of an entire framework like Laravel

you can make it simpler with C++ or Python than using Laravel

Else, you can try NodeJS and combine it with proper libraries based on your scenario like NodeJS/Python + Selenium/Puppeteer/Playwright for browser automation.

Don't get me wrong as there are PHP based bots/solutions but I haven't seen any good one for that matter.

I am working with python and can say it's easier than PHP

It does not matter whether the Python or PHP. In any language there are POST/GET requests. If you own a Python , use it

I recommend using Python or Javascript instead of PHP. Puppeteer and Playwright are great JS tools, with active communities.

I know both python and php. If you want to do scraping without much issues, just go for python. A round wheel is always better than a square one.
