I just found a good domain in GoDaddy for auction. After I bid on the domain there was an auto-bid just one second after my bid!!
I got a notification that I have been outbid. So is that a game GoDaddy system does to increase the bid?
* In the image below I'm bidder no.2. There is an auto bid before me and after me!

It could be your competitor who has a bot that does the bidding

It is neither Godaddy trying to increase the bid, nor the competitor with the bot :).

On domain auctions on Godaddy (as well as on other platforms) you have an option to set automatic bidding, until the price reaches the threshold you set.

Let me give you an example. Let's say the maximum I am willing to pay for a domain in question is $100. Hence I will set automatic bidding until $100 is reached. Anytime someone outbids me, the system automatically outbids him, until the price reaches $100. When it does, the system won't bid for me anymore, and unless I place a bid manually, I will lose the auction.

Hope this helps, take care, and good luck in the auction!
