On other platforms I feel like it’s easy to build rapport with people.

On LinkedIn I feel like there is an unspoken and very different set of rules for anyone that’s trying to network and I haven’t figured out what these are on LinkedIn yet…

How do you attract your ideal clients on there without messaging random people that you don’t know?

You research their business needs and offer to help them.

But i will be honest with you the fact you dont know any of this means you are not cut out for b2b sales, because you will just keep getting stuck at the next step and the one after that and so on.

If you dont know how to sell, you will have great difficulty running your own b2b company successfully. So my suggestion is go and get a job as a salesman in a company that will train you, learn the skills you need and then go out on your own.

Thank you for your reply.

My clients are usually employees who are burned out and sick of working for someone else. They reach out to me to do my mindset course on our boat or to learn to trade stocks and forex. Sometimes they’re academics who have multiple PhDs etc and they’re burned out too. I don’t have many people from HR departments contacting me.

Thats my point. You are waiting for them to find and contact you.

To ve successful you need to learn how to do outreach yourself.

Are there any articles or books on how to outreach effectively in 2022. It’s so different now to how it was 5-10 years ago

I started working for a company going through the phone directory and selling kitchens over the phone and i thought that was normal!

But it taught me 2 things:

1. That is not the right way to do it!

2. If you can actually book appointments that way, you can for anything!

I have never seen 1 book or article that covers everything. You are better off getting trained, there are too many nuances when you are trying to figure out how best to sell for your personality, because to be effective you have to be you.

anyone who wants to exchange recommendation? however needs to be in line with what we are doing though

I like that, to be effective you do have to be you

Yes, you will never be successful selling to businesses unless you are genuine and sincere. :)

Or learn how to fake it, but that is another story ;)
How to fake it mate ??

Not that i really want to but curious

LinkedIn is a vanity platform for most of the user.
I am this, I am that.
I got this, I got that.
I do this, I do that.

You can build profiles personal and company , sell service for doing that.

If you are in a narrow niche you can will get engagement with people. People feel they are part of a small group/tribe.
But if you are a seo, a developer etc , there will be a big hesitancy and you will not get replies , engagement etc.

Because everyone in there is trying to cash in on the networking, it becomes artificial and fake feeling.

Social networks are radioactive, much worse when it's a job related social network, it's 100x worse.

I am a trader and a psychologist studying neuroscience. I like this it’s a good explanation

Sharing your thoughts and any kind of posts whether it's onto your professional sector or otherwise will surely lead you to make organic reach and rapport genuinely.
