After deleting a domain it's dormant and all the pages are deindexed. How long being dormant a domain would you be willing to get? Is one to two years too much or there's no time limit? Of course, in the context of the SEO benefits that domain could provide you with.

It's irrelevant really. It would matter to some extent if you were to rebuild the previous content. In that case, the faster you rebuild the domain the better the ranking will be retained.

If it's a month - two after the deinxedation, it really doesn't matter much. Especially if you are putting new content.

If the domain is dormant for 10 years, then the domain might take a bit longer to wake up fully, but there definitely isn't any "Google backlink reset".

But the longer it stays dormant the worse when it comes to the number and quality of backlinks, right?

Thank you.

That is subjective. Depends on the domain itself, but as a rule of thumb, I suppose we could say that this assumption is correct.

Could you recommend any quality place I could find expired domains for free? Apart from expreddomains, that is. Thank you.

You can use Domcop, but that's not free.

Regarding scraped domains that are free to register, well, don't really bother tbh. Overscraped, overabused. Nothing even half decent left to register.

If you want, tell me your niche (or send it via PM rather) and I can send you a few domains that dropped metrics and are no longer sellable for me, however, they are clean and still most likely better than whatever you will find.
