Using GSA Search Engine Ranker but it's all completely new to me

Is there any comprehensive tutorials? What do I need? I want to be doing link blasts to URL's etc

There are some things on youtube:

You will need GSA Captcha Breaker.

You will need to slowly go through all the options and research what they do. I have not seen any guides that are beyond basics, compared to how many option the program has.

Tip: gsa ser can create some free emails in options that are needed for verifying created accounts. You will need to delete and recreate these email from time to time. I usualy create 50 email accounts and replace them all after 2 weeks or so.

Don't waste your time with the tool if you don't have a working indexer.
