Can Google link accounts where only billing address is the same

I have 2 completely different accounts (new IP, new laptop and different persons details), the only thing that might compromise me is the billing address, which is the same.

Also, the CCs are completely different (2 different persons not family related). Am I safe? I assume I am, but please let me know if there is anything else I need to pay attention to.

What is there is a building with 100+ floors where all residents have the same billing address...it means Google will ban all of them? It doesn't make sense...

Seriously, though, you don't want to know the truth, you just want to be lied that google doesn't know everything about people using their products just so you can have peace of mind. But I'm not gonna do that (lie to you), but I also don't know whether they have linked your 2 sites already. But I do think (no proof) that they can link the 2 sites together.

About 8 or 9 years ago I was trying to see what brands of boxers (a type of underwear as we call it here in romania) are there available, and I didn't even finish typing the word boxer into google, much less type the whole keyword I was having in mind (boxer brands), that google had already recommended me that exact keyword in position #1. And the reason for which this is both interesting and scary is that boxer, in Romanian, can refer to 3 different things:

- underwear
- dog breed (there's a dog breed that we call boxer)
- pugilist

And like I said, I have never in my entire life been interested in boxers (the underwear), not even today, I don't wear such things. But, for some reason, I have needed to know what boxer brands are there, so I had to google it, out of curiosity. So, how did google know what I was having in mind, given that I've never shown interest in that word and given that I was typing it from my own personal computer to whom only I have access? I could have meant to search for the pugilist, or for the dog breed, but google knew that I was exactly meaning the underwear. You tell me how they knew this! And that was 9 years ago...

Do you really think that with today's (nano) technology, tracking technology, and with the legions of statisticians, mathematicians, linguists and psychologists that google employs they're unable to link 2 sites with the same address together to find out who those sites belong to? And if you're still not convinced then tell me why experienced SEOs pour their life savings into making sure that every PBN they set up has unique and random everything (IPs, whois details, billing details, hosting providers, etc)

Anyway, I'm not trying to convince you of anything (I'd need proof for that, and I don't have it), but I did try to tell you the truth (as I perceive it, yes). If you can disprove it (but I will also require proof), feel free to do so!

Let's say there are 2 completely different individuals (living in the same building), who have similar websites (domains, IPs and everything else is different).

The only thing they have in common is their billing address.

Now, will Google ban those 2 individuals for "account linking" or not?


There is no need to "lie" to me, but I really do think that there would be a lot more bans even for legitimate businesses, if Google kept "linking" accounts for the persons living in the same building.

you explained it better even though I understood it from the first time. And my answer is the same: yes, google can link the 2 accounts together. How they are doing it, I obviously don't know cause I don't work for google. And I don't have proof either, in case you are going to ask for it. It's just what my common sense and experience with google tells me.

You'd better wait for other people's replies as they might be different. And I do hope that others will reply because I'd love to know the answer to this question, as well

IMO if the websites are too similiar & you are bidding on the same keywords on both accounts, - that in it of it self is enough for them to link the two accounts. As for the billing address, I don’t think so, I’ve used the same exact billing address on multiple accounts and they’ve ran fine. But this is just my experience.

Ok, but if I am using Smart shopping for example?Where you do not have control over keywords, change the design a bit, product description etc.

i assume I am pretty safe this way? i know that no one is 100% safe, but I am trying to reduce the risk as much as possible.

In that case just make sure things are not too similiar, just remember all their AI does is look for similiarities between accounts/websites.. if it’s able to detect multiple similiarities it’ll ban you even if for example you only had 1 account & you copied someones ads/website & that person got banned, their AI will wrap you in it & only a manual review will get it back. (If they can fully be sure you are not the person who got banned - if not they rather not risk it & will simply ban both of you permanently)

But in that case, the system might abused, what if I purposefuly create a similar website just to get competition suspended?
