This could be a useful thread... How is this guy monetizing this page. I think we could all learn something from dissecting large marketing pages and figuring how they are making $$$. Since the page is large and still posting updates, he obviously isn't "sapmming" his users... so what's the catch?

I don't play farmville... is this guy promoting an app that eventually serves up ads or offers away from Facebook?
 
He must be making a fortune!
All I can say is this is some kind of guru :P

the owner of farmville secrets is in the case of speaking to his lawyers about this guy, i think its the same person who has started a few like this, at the end of the day he is breaking the law and if that guy finds him he will be able to take him to court.

its the risk you run though i guess, although there is still money in farmville I'm getting out of it soon, way too much shit going on that will make it look doggy as fuk!
 
When you click on the comment box it's blocked with CPAL, pages like this usually get reported and come down quite quickly before they get a chance to go viral, I doubt this one will be up for too much longer.

I was able to get to the DL without doing a survey

The moron did not use disabler for Popup Ads blockers.

I think I know how they are doing this, and will go test it now.

EDIT: It is not doing how I thought it was, it is using Static FBML

So basically the guy is monetizing by taking a pay item, and making it free and serving ads to people who try to download it? Was hoping for something more clever than that... not even worth discussing lol.
 
for me the surveys disabled

You know you can make more money making legit websites and monetizing with adsense, cbank and tremor media.

All these idiots trying to scam people, if they focused their energy on on something of semi value they wouldnt have to worry about account getting banned and can still make bank

Yeah tell me about it, I have put a lot of effort into some of my bigger groups and it really chaps my arse to see people spamming on them, if they used their time to make a group they could be getting a nice residual coming in without having to do anything.

but instead they waste their whole day spamming and trying to think up other ways of cheating people for a few hundred bucks a day, if they had put the same amount of time in over the same period they could have some really good assets by now earning them the same but in a residual form

lol all my groups must be worth well over $50,000 if not $100,000, but why would i sell them, i can just leave them up and make that much over the next year or 2 and let them carry on making me money for as long as they are live, but still they are assets that i have built and these dumb TWA** could have done the same.

FBPRO, you talk a big game. I have PM'd you several times asking about JV and you have always said no. You act like you want to help others but you dont. I see more condescending remarks from you then actually help people on here who could use help.

I don't wish to do JV's with you, if that's your reason for thinking i don't help people your mistaken.

I help plenty of people, but when they come to me asking questions that if answered could jeopardize what I do, then the obvious thing to say would be no, or i don't know.

I have had 422 messages over the last week, i have replied to nearly all of them. again some i answer/help some i don't.

If i still had your messages I would look over them again, but my inbox only hold 500 so i have to delete them daily. if you want to send them to me again i will read them, but if i turned it down it was probably something i have tried or someone i know has tried and did not work.

but if my memory serves me correctly, was it you who wanted to make a group giving away laptops, if so it was a shocking idea, well based on my morals anyway.

If someone says something that in my opinion is wrong, crazy, pointless, then I will point it out, that's just who i am and frankly i don't see how it affects you.
 
people usually PM me for help, so that may be why you don't see it, but to be honest that's how i like it, it helps me choose who to help.

I'm not going to show someone who spammers, e-whores etc how to do what i do, that would just be suicide.

I've got nothing against you mate, but having a go because i don't take you up on your offers for JV's is a bit weird, I have had over 20 proposals this week, I cant do them all and I think its my prerogative to be able to choose the ones I think would best suit me.

but thanks for your remarks i will keep it in mind next time I'm pointing something out to someone, so that I don't give the impression I'm condescending them!
 
lol thats nothing. that guys all over facebook. ive seen numerous groups like it.. but if cpa.lead catch him hell get banned for fake content i guess..unless hes offering some kind of tool lol.. but yeh hes all over the shop. would be interested to know how he intergrated ************** though on the page..

He uses FBJS to dynamically add an iframe into a DIV within the FBML. It can only be used with an onclick function that calls to the JS, onload and such does not work.
 
Right now, the farmville page just shows 3 page updates/posts. Is he deleting his posts every couple days? ... and why?
 
I thought it was you FBBOTPRO lol, i've seen quite a few of them now, he must be making CRAZY money lol how doe he do it anyway?

This is what gimme4free was referring to, the top is where the iframe is diplayed when they click the image.

I have the page replicated, but I cant get the FBJS to work.
