You could do blogging but you won't have revenue for the better part of a year. Takes time.

Completely agree with @blogmen - it took me about a year to make anything at all on my first blog. Starting a blog is good as a side gig while you have another job or another business that is already bringing in money. I would not recommend blogging on its own, only in addition to something else that makes money faster. But if you do want to start a Wordpress blog, your 2 options after buying a domain are:
a) buy a hosting plan (or use a free host but I wouldn't recommend a free host), connect your domain to your hosting plan, and install Wordpress from Wordpress . org.
or
b) sign up for Wordpress . com and connect your domain to your wordpress . com account. There are different plan levels and pricing. This gives you less options of plugins, themes etc but they handle all of the back end stuff for you.
I personally find it's cheaper and better to go for option a, but some people like option b because it's a bit easier to set up.

Your lucky, being married, think of all the poor guys that are single without a job, THAT is even a more shitty situation .. So be happy, there are people in way worse life then yours.

First, find a niche of interest with low competition. This is the deciding factor for your IM success. After that you need to do keyword research to understand what people usually read in your niche. You can then start a blog and publish content.

You can start an amazon affiliate website. Since you are beginner, choose a broad topic .

The best idea here is that you start learning how to make a WordPress site and then you can move on to creating some simple one, using pre-built themes. There you can maybe start blogging or writing about some popular topics, search to see what's trending in your market, and promote your site as widely as you can across the internet, if you can, invest at least a bit of money on advertising it as that will bring you much faster profit.

I used to do that and found blogging to be a tedious and time consuming business before it was successful.
First development for someone unfamiliar with coding:
- At a minimum, you must have a certain level of experience in the market you want to target and write about
- You need to have little experience in building websites (domain, hosting, wordpress) and must have experience in doing SEO.
- Need a lot of patience because customers will take a long time to find you if you are new.
For you as an experienced person you have a lot of ways like freelancing, coding, selling code and knowing how to code will come with a better understanding of the internet. Know how to search multiple keywords….
And finally if you have nothing, you should choose another niche

Internet is long term you would need lottery luck for over night took a lot of my money and time studying and trying every method on this green earth before I finally got to where I am now owning things and Canada can get expensive in different areas my suggestion is have a Job outside of Internet until you figure it out I’ve had to work odd shitty jobs I loathed napping in the car on a crappy lunch break actually having a teenager tell me what to do next 40 year old virgin managers breathing down your neck but hey it’s life be tuff, get some money soon for the wife before the arguing and chasity belt celibacy kicks in good luck
