14 months later / not in top 100

exact match .org keyword domain (.com, .net and others are parked domains), foreign language, 9 million searches a month.
pretty low competition.

14 months ago I bought a domain (godaddy auctions), posted 2 optimised articles and added few backlinks (like 5, lol).
today, my keywords are not even in top 100 (never been). what can be the reason?

wayback machine show a "under construction page" from 2017, nothing else.

you've waited 14 months to see if you'll rank with no content and no backlinks for a 9 million searches per month keyword?? Dang, that is some next-level dedication, even I get sick and tired of waiting for 6-7 months and I'm pretty lazy by nature

... how exactly did you assess the competition to come to the conclusion that it's low? Because, from my experience, most keywords with obscene amounts of search volume like this one are very competitive. Something's not right in your assessment

what a shock, huh! (just being sarcastic ). It's obvious that such a monster keyword is not even in top 100. Who do you think you are to rank a no-name website for a keyword that makes companies millions per year, with only 2 articles and 5 backlinks? Amazon? Forbes? lol

what can be the reason?

in no particular order (but I'll try to include the most important reasons first)...

1) the obscenely high search volume of the keyword, especially if the keyword is profitable (has commercial value)
2) your absolutely ordinary website. You only rank for such keywords if you know what you're doing, and even then you need a ton of money and patience to rank for such keywords, and you also need a strong website (especially if the keyword is in ultra-tough niches like travel, business, banking, SEO, web hosting, loans, investment, medical, certain sub-niches of the technology niche, certain sub-niches of the self improvement niche, etc). Good luck ranking in any of these niches for a 9 million searches per month keyword with 2 articles and 5 backlinks
3) the niche. If you're into one of the niches I just mentioned forget that you had a website! Go read more about how SEO works, and then try to rank in one of the more accessible niches: hobbies, pets, etc
4) the ultra tough competition that you're facing for that keyword. A keyword like that is only approachable by experienced SEOs with deep pockets, not by mere mortals like you and me

Content is far more important than length of time. You need more content (original high quality content).

One other thing I have observed at least with Google, exact match domain is not important. With Bing, you might have a better chance to find your domain by searching for the keywords. But with Google, no - only if you have plenty of good content.

Main reason is only 2 posts in 14 months.
You should have around 60-80 posts by now.
As a ballpark churn out 30 posts every 6 months.
That's if your niches is not marked YMYL by EAT google update.
Then it's a whole other ball game. You gotta build authority too.

I hope everything will change soon for you. As for me that is just another indicator of how slow SE are.
I would agree you need to have more activity so SE will start thinking that web site is live again .

9 months later, same "issues".
not even in top 100 for my 3 main keywords.

i guess is something "wrong" with the domain name.

FIRST position, taking like 25 mil/monthly users, is having under 100 indexed pages. So is not a niche with lots of content. Up to 5 articles will be just enough (something evergreen).

on 5-15 positions i found pinterest, facebook, appstores, and some news websites writing about the keyword - that's why i said it's a low competition.

however, my blog is about 2 years old, is having 3 optimised articles, but is not rank at all.

i am planning to make new articles, to invest in seo - but WHAT if is something wrong with the domain? Could be a reason?
