500k+ email list

Hey guys,

I have a .txt file with more than 500k active emails from an accounting application. Do you have any ideas on how can I use it? I was wondering about email marketing with some newsletter/affiliate marketing. Can you recommend me some pls? Emails are from European country so not the US.

PS: Do you think this list has some price if I decide to sell it to someone?

Can you please specify this term? I'm not sure if I understand this terminology People didn't fill any form, these mails are just grabbed/scrapped from big database of users.

As you scraped the emails, people didn’t opt in to receive emails from you and if you start emailing them affiliate links, you are doing something that is illegal by law and can get you heavily fined or imprisoned in a lot of countries

Well, that makes sense that's why I'm asking here. I'm not sure how do they prove that this is 'spam' and they didn't sign up anywhere and how do they get to me. I mean most of the people just delete the email you know I'm just curious.

There are 1000s methods how to drive traffic to the landing page and collect emails (point of email marketing) and then send offers to those emails (often absolutely in a different niche which they signed up for) so it's kinda spammy as well. The main difference Is that they 'signed up' for something.

If you are going to do cold emailing, you will have to use a lot of very good proxies to not be caught, I made the decision not to do it as in my country I can be fined up to 900.000€, but if you live in a 3rd world country it might be worth it

What you need to do first is to clean the email using any email verifier tool. Then, you need to find some good offers of any niche. Before you blast them, you should do a good warming up before sending. I suggest maybe a simple text based email to touch base. And then try to send them another follow up email following your niche. From there you will know who in your list are interested.

As this is a pretty large list, first clean it up to remove all invalid emails and you can use some verification tool for that. Also, it would be good if you could segment it somehow and divide leads based on some criteria. Then, you should think about offering that you could put inside of your emails, maybe try to connect with some affiliate network first to see if they can help you with this and share commission if you manage to advertise products or services properly.

If you know the niche, you can build a newsletter around it. Your first email could be to prompt them to opt in to your mail list. That way it becomes an opt-in list. You can then monetize with ads, and affiliate offers
