Starting my own website - looking for advice

Hello guys,

I have been lurking on BHW since 2018 and I tried many "guaranteed" methods posted here on the forum and some of them made a few bucks but some of them were just a waste of time. I have a background in Youtube since I was making a full-time income from YT for more than 4 years but I feel like Youtube kinda sucks nowadays. I just don't want to hustle so hard for 3rd party application which can delete all my "carrier" in a few seconds without any reason which happened to me a few times.

So moving on... I would like to try building a website that will be mine and constantly building websites' authority and audience. I was thinking about making unique content + mixing it with translated content since I would like to start in my native language (Central Europe) because there is less competition and when I learn all basics like keyword research, SEO optimization, etc I would like to start also English website.

I have a well-paid job now which I enjoy doing so my primary motivation is not money atm so I would just like to create content and in the future monetize it. I would like to make 2-3 articles per day and when I make like 20-30 articles then start adding them to the website. Do you think it's better to put all articles at once on the web or add them every day?

My plan for the next few days:

1) Write at least 10 articles
2) Find long-tail keywords with low competition
3) SEO optimize all articles
4) Find some copyright-free images
5) Upload


Can you please approve my plan above or give me some tips on what should I focus on the most? Is there any website you could recommend to me where I put keywords and my article and it checks SEO and tells me recommendations? Can you also please recommend me good WP theme?

You'll need to build up 10 sites to learn your trade, and none of them might make you much. but maybe that 11th website is the killer! That's the attitude when you first start you need.

Can you please also explain your thought more in detail? When should I start another website (for example after 100 posts at the first one) and why? Isn't it better to focus on the first site and when it's getting some visits then move on to another one? I just don't want to make 10 sites and then split my focus to all of them so I will have 10 sites but all of them get only 1/10 of my focus. It's way to hell in my eyes. Also, why should I make more sites at the beginning? For niche diversification? When is the point I should think about the website if it's working and if I make things right (for example when I pass 100 articles without a single view etc)? I hope you understand my point of view and I'm looking forward to your thoughts. All your feedback means a lot to me and I appreciate it.

Then start writing and link building (all the possible free links I can gather).
I rarely buy links unless it's something I really need or I think it's needed.

Just focus on articles and interlinking, and never forget the structure of your website.

Also, never buy keyword research services as they tend to be junk, I did that 2 times and i was disappointed to hell. "easy to rank keywords" usually result in HUGE authority pages ranking just cause they can and they don't even need links to do so.
I guess most of the keyword research services are not aware of the SEO basics and metrics, all they care is some metrics that are most of the time irrelevant to the rankings when it comes to authority pages.

Thank you for your advice. This is exactly what I'm going to do. I don't want to make a website only because that niche has a good amount of searching. I'm going to make a website in the tech niche which I really like. Do you have any specific link-building techniques you can share? By saying "interlinking" you mean making links to another pages on my website, am I right? I'm still learning so sorry for the stupid questions. Thank you!

Focus on content, great content. Go for the underserved keywords that your competitors think are too small. Good luck

I'd offer you to post at least 3-4 articles every week. There are some expired articles providers here that are selling them for a really good price.

First buy a dropped domain in your niche and build from there.
This will make your life a lot easier.

OP, the plan you listed is definitely the same way most people start sites

The downside is that you're in the dark as to which of your posts... if any, will rank

To increase your chances of ranking quickly, look into reverse engineering your competition

Get a VA to gather the domains of all your competitors

Filter the domains through a paid SEO tool to find their organic keywords

Filter the keywords based on search volume and difficulty

Filter the keywords based on quality of their top results

Write content targeting these keywords

This can give you a headstart - more likely to rank and rank faster

Idk how much experience do you have with youtube or if you just think it works like this but I had 2M+ subs channel with revenue of over 10k per month and they just deleted my channel overnight, they don't give a fuck until you are known Youtube from social media with the huge fan base. I was able to recover my channel after 3 weeks just because I have good connections with YT managers in my country.

Start with 1 article per day. Don't upload them all at once. As you start growing your website, you should put more money and effort in marketing as well. Depending on the niche, if your website looks good and has a decent authority score, you can start selling ads.
Example: A cryptocurrency project wants to find ways to promote itself. One good way is by contacting all kinds of news/blogs websites on the cryptocurrency/decentralised world niche and pay for an article.
