can somebody have a look at my competitors website and mine and tell me why mine is not ranking higher than theirs?

i have been building backlinks using blogs spamming and forum spamming as well as profile links and articles and just about every link building method i have about 1100 backlinks they have 80 . it is really annoying me and puzzling me as to why this is happening. I have done onsite seo as well.

please help me out

have you checked where there 80 links are coming from? If most of yours are comming from spammy blog posts and forums, and theres are coming from half decent site with nice PR, that could be a major factor

yes i have checked their links and i have a lot of the same ones

I have had sites rank within the top 5 in google without backlinks and with zero PR.
Spamming your site to forums, blog comments never helps.. good seo, keywords and content however does help.

May be you go deindexed for building too many backlinks too fast?

how is old their site, do they have better/more content, how long have the been ranking above you?
