My 2014 Blog has no traffic

I need an expert. I have written over 100+ articles on cryptocurrency since 2014. My website receives almost no traffic, like 100 visitors a month.

I am sick of trying to figure out what's wrong since the site was hacked. Yes it was cleaned, but I'm not sure how well. It was mysql injection that turned our site into a link zone for chinese websites.

I am currently working on bolstering socials, setting up automatic posting (again), and guest posting. However this is teduous and I think something may still be wrong on the backend or SEO side.

Thanks for the suggestion. Everyone seems to be so busy right now! It's insane. Are there any suggestions you have for increasing site traffic? I'm grinding out articles, but this is not my primary job. I want to get it more to the auto-pilot phase.

Grinding out articles? 100 articles in 7 years is not what I define grinding lmao. It's not even 1 article per month... Every website is differen we can't speculate what is right or wrong with your current website based on 0 stats. Blackhatworld is not a get free traffic platform. It's a get free knowlegde platform, use it wisely.

Could you please be more specific as to what stats you need?

Thank you for informing me that this website is "not a free get traffic platform". That's useful, I'll log that in my brain. I'm still learning the ropes here, probably only spend about an hour each day. I've made some purchases and connections.

I've been looking at my google search console and noticed that about half of my pages are "crawled" but "notindexed". I'll try to focus on that because that's about half of my site there.

If you get no traffic since 2014 change the site completely! And if you want to continue on the same niche write new articles. After years and years, I don't see any point to continue with your site, it waste of time and money. Try maybe sell the domain.

Well I've been looking into it. We had 100ks of visitors at one point, but now it's very low. It appears to be a google indexing issue. I'll have to scour these forums to see what I can do about the result below:

Check for any types of Errors in the Google Search console. Including page speed, possible slow loading speed on mobile devices, etc. It seems like Google does not want to index your content.

It may have been de-indexed by google.or If you were scraping content from other websites, have a spammy website, have bad HTML, keywords cannibalization, hacked, bad backlink profile etc.Or maybe it’s just your SEO!

Above these are some of the reasons for the - no visitors to website - issues .

Do any of the chinese pages/links still appear when you do site:?
What does your backlink profile look like? What sort of links and from where? What sort of anchor texts?
What are the 3rd party metrics of your website? Moz DA, ahref DR, majestic TF etc etc
Do you have any notifications in GSC that you have not resolved?
Do you do anything unusual on your website like redirecting visitors, starting downloads, aggressive popups/popunders?
Check your source code is there anything weird thats not yours in there? Check your htaccess is there anything weird that's not yours in there?
What sort of websites do you link out to? Good ones or ones paying you for links?
Is there anyone copying large parts of your content?
How do you do your keyword research?

1. Chinese pages no longer appear when searching site:cryptocrooks.com We had a disavow sheet created by an expert here, he is working on a second one.

1. External Link count: 281; various blogs news sources linking in. Many organic linking to older various posts written

1. GSC Console Issue: Appears that URL https://www.cryptocrooks.com IS indexed while https://cryptocrooks (no www.) IS NOT indexed.

1. No unusual Traffic tactics on our website with redirect downloads or being overly aggressive on popups. I don't think we're even running google ads.

1. HT Access file: not sure what to look for but scanning it with untrained eyes don't see anything too malicious embedded in it 163 lines of code a mention of WP Rocket an authorized plugin being used on the website.
2. Haven’t found anything latently malicious on our end currently, run Wordfence scans and have managed wordpress hosting that has these sorts of countermeasures as well. Haven’t picked up on latent malicious embedded code. Could be overlooking something but don't think so not since the 1 prior hack years ago.
3. Link out organically to quality cryptosites in the industry we think are relevant and provide good resources, information products and services for users. Maybe 5% of posts are guest posts, but we always check links, always, never anything sus.
   Have taken a few paid articles here and there but proof them for Quality.

1. Don't think anyone is copying the content?
2. Do keyword research by staying on top of the industry and selecting relevant information we believe is pertinent to events surrounding the crypto sector.

crypto, as you probably already know, is a fast-changing niche.

Stuff that was relevant in 2014 is probably gone and forgotten in 2021.

Instead of despairing, I suggest that you get a list of your competitors, run that list of domains through an SEO tool, find the keywords those competitors rank for but are not targeting.

Also, make sure that those keywords are easier to rank and have decent monthly search volume.

Armed with this information, you can create provocative content intended to be shared on social media.

You need to produce a tremendous amount of content because cryptocurrency is a fast-changing niche.

You also need to work on getting a stable collection of evergreen content.

This way, you can have a solid base of low-level traffic while getting traction with higher volume but fast-changing relevant keywords.

We are addressing the GSC issues. There is nothing malicious nor nefarious about the site. Just home grown content.

As someone said, we need more updated content, so that is the focus while we conduct an SEO audit and address the GSC errors. After that we will ground up build a new site for the next generation.

I have learned alot from BHW and continues to be my go-to resource.
