Has your team member/friend ever backfired you?

Hi, was reading about this in a group couple of weeks ago.

The person said he and his team were working on an online project for some months and all was going well but suddenly some team members took the idea and started their own and now doing better than him.

What are your experiences on such thing? Has any of your friend/team member ever backstabbed your for their own financial gain?

Probably it can happen in the online world.

In real life, companies that are developing new solutions and products have work contracts that prohibit you from doing exactly this. Regardless even if this happens without a contract it's still intellectual property theft.

Many people have full team from Upwork or other platform. So it can always happen I guess.

All of them backfired me by keeping my busy with talks so that I had no time to do compound interest calculations on stocks till my age of 28 years. I should have done investing in mutual funds at age of 7 years but my parents or friends never told me about power of compound interest till I turned 28 years and started investing in stock market. for 2021 past year I am sitting at gains of 21% in stock market and I feel very said that I didn't started it when I first started earning money at age of 16 years.

Welcome to the real world, where people stab their own friends/partners just because of pure greed. Been there, done that (as the stabbed person, did not end well.)
