Reddit was always problematic.

It didn't matter if we were promoting normal sites or our adult sites. The work invested to financial return ratio was always crap and we always had a problem with trolls.

Now Reddit administration has moved into a more "INCLUSIVE" or "WOKE" agenda. Now everything we post is subject to cancellation because of someone's feelings.

eg. A month ago we were selling cookies for teddy bears and were subtly posting in arts & crafts subreddits. The account was eventually suspended for what we were told was fat shaming because we made the mistake of saying no one could get fat from these cookies.

Surprisingly our adult subs lasted a little longer but about 2 weeks ago they finally showed up on some Super Admin's radar. It's just not worth the fight.

Aren't reddit preparing for an IPO?
Now, they are trying to show everybody that they are something out of this world.

Well that would explain why they're purging everyone and everything. They have to show everyone how progressive Reddit is.

Honestly, we don't gave a damn what someone's politics or beliefs are.... We just want to make a dollar.

Selling cookies for teddy bears? What does that mean?

Yeah I mean they got bought off by chinese money and IPO rumors seems to make sense. Subs have been cancelled at a high rate these last two years. Before it was the wild west in there.

It used to be. Now it's the same crap you find everywhere on the Internet

I know this is must be very upsetting for you

Not at all. It's just business and it is what it is.

Read MJ's "https://booksconcepts.com/unscripted-by-mj-demarco/" or "https://booknotes.quora.com/Notes-on-Millionaire-Fastlane-by-DeMarco" ....

Don't hitch your business onto another corporation .... you're lacking control.

That's increasingly becoming a problem that can't be avoided.

You are doing something wrong on promoting the adult subreddit if you are getting banned.
Adult subreddit is easy NICHE to grow up.

Growing a porn sub on reddit is easy but getting a free loaders to spend money is difficult.

Again... it's a question of how much work we put in versus how much money we get out. There's better places to promote than reddit.

Sounds like a poor excuse for a webmaster.

Since when are teddy bears eating? Am I missing something?

[UNPOPULAR OPINION] It's 80%+ Progressivism. Don't you dare to criticize that someone view the green as yellow, or that gal who love that tree so much, because "you're not entitled to". The problems come when these "views" are forced through the law (that gal can love what she wants, but don't force me to do it or to see it as a normal thing), so you must love that tree, or see that color in the politicaly-right-view.

I use reddit they are just trying to make their platform safe and friendly for all their users. And this is coming from someone who’s real account got perma banned. I had accrued nearly 150k karmas in about 8 months and was in all the vip clubs. It was my bad. Alas, their platform, their rules. And looks like things will get worse for IM purposes imho.

Obviously some of our adult and BDSM lines were not well received.

Lol, I've had couple hundreds subs banned. But it's not easy to monetize the reddit subscribers, the subs count often doesn't reflect how much you can make. Aggressiveness in promotion is how I tried to balance that, with.
