Hello!

I am aware that google has already pointed out that traffic is not being used as a ranking factor, but I was still wondering:

1- If I could add 10k views each day that originate from automated programs running in background on multiple users pcs around the country, will that help my site in any way to rank higher? would you suggest me to do it?

2- Is there any risk involved? can I get busted by google?

Thank you all Senseis in advance!

No, it won't. Google has too accurate of a profile on users and their individual behavior and browsing activities.

There are easier ways to rank than messing around with this stuff.

Care to share? Easier than autosurf?

I'm thinking results would be minuscule at best. If it did help, then all those websites with social media driven traffic would show up a lot more in search results. However it is generally believed that some traffic related metrics do play a role (e.g., bounce rate, traffic quality, etc.) so I can't say for sure what would happen if you had a "golden" traffic bot.

Thanks for the input, could you kindly let us know what easier ways there are?

Thanks overlord, may I ask, what you suggest to rank ecommerce product pages?

It is not true that direct traffic impacts the position of Google. Google only counts organic visitors, which come from search engines. This type of traffic is much more effective for ranking.

Automated traffic doesn't impact your google ranking can be achieved by the real visitors, so make an effort for getting the organic traffic.

It's not about traffic is about how that traffic interacts with your website, aka user engagement.

Plus, organic traffic weighs the most, and that one is a bit trickier to fake it right.
