I published a new website a few weeks ago (maybe 2 months ago). It's Wordpress site which contains about 60-70 articles (unique articles). I sent a sitemap in Google search console. There were no errors. Now I checked which pages are indexed by Google and there are only 10 pages (articles) indexed.

I remember that many years ago I got my whole site indexed quickly (under a week).

So I ask how to get a new website indexed by Google nowadays?

I appreciate any kind of tips.

Did you check how many pages are indexed in GSC?

Keep building content. My newest one took a while as well.

Send like 3-4 social signals to it (not 100+).

This is the new reality.

Only those 10 pages, others are:

Excluded
Discovered – currently not indexed
Nowadays, Google takes more time to index the links. There is no issue on your side. The pages will get indexed slowly.

Google are indexing whatever they want these days. I think there’s a support page where they state that they’ll only index the pages they deem worth indexing.

After the google Updates, google is not indexing like before, still, you need to submit each page separately and share your posts on social media it will help, social sharing can help you, build strong links quality links from authoritative websites, it will take time but the pages will index.

if you can, try to add a couple of backlinks to your site. this can greatly help the indexation.

2 months is too early. Let it age. Your site will be indexed in 4-6 months. You could also send some social signals.

I have this issue too.

I also have "crawled - currently not indexed". Not sure why this happens. In my experience, Google takes it's sweet, sweet time to index non-mega publications.... Seems like we know who's side their bread is buttered on....

The Google Index will take some time to appear. It will index naturally and you will have to be patient

Google will take some time but for sure it will index. So you can wait for a while.

Nowadays, Google took a bit longer for indexing the pages compared to the previous days. Another case of your site won't meet Google exportation it'll also the reason of slower index. For example do not have Mobile friendly, Less engagement of Visitors for lack of content quality etc..,

This thread is like blind leading the blind.

If you have read any of the threads for the past months at least then you realize that G doesn't even index some pages for months or never.. even if the site is great in content and old.. some pages just don't index..

People have found that sometimes it helps to change the URL slug and adding pictures and/or changing content.

Also, if you haven't already, add it to GSC and force index it via URL inspection and requesting to index (helps the most but if that doesn't do the trick then try to other things I mentioned).

Google sitemaps do JACK SHIT for most sites.

When it happens to me, I request indexing from the URL inspection, post it to Reddit, and buy a few upvotes. It solves it within hours.
