Has anyone here bought a land in Metaverse?

Metaverse is a fake world like the Sims to scam college students. Total scam. Can’t even move my kids there.

Well... technically I own the EARTH paying nothing just browsing Google Earth.

A part of me remembers the bitcoins and second life real estate, while the other laughs like 'this doesnt even is real why buy it'
It would be very interesting to see how this topic develops

I can see it already, everybody got their VR mask connected on the metaverse chilling on a conference session I guess.

I heard on youtube a woman who got grope on the metaverse VR platform :D , she repeatedly told the other user to stop but it got him more turn on:weep: until she disconnected herself from the conference session. She then proceed to IMMEDIATELY make a formal complaint the metaverse support regarding her horrible experience.

I can see it already, individual could be charged for groping on the metaverse platform and then be virtually sentence I guess o_O

Cheer,

People used to sell land on Moon with documentation and everything. Now, they are selling land in metaverse. These guys find ways to sell us something that either doesn't exist or doesn't belong to anyone :D
That is the secret to become billionaire in an year.

I still cant understand how this meta land works... what do you do with this land?

So in Sandbox you can buy land and you can host your games there, if you know how to create games. (Sandbox is I think partnered with minecraft and COD too.)

There is another project called ERTHA and you can buy land in this game. Different land in this game provides different minerals like fish, fruits, etc. that is used in game and can be exchanged for in game currency.

I got a mail with the offer. I was suspicious at first glance cuz it was marked as spam but later found out it's completely legit. I sent them $4500 and in few minutes they sent back all the documents and a ticket to Mars in Christmas 2030! Want me to send you the offer?

Lol i just searched for this and there are actually sites selling this. Of course its just novelty items.

No one can own land on mars yet!

Haha this scam is older than the internet. I remember reading about an old one from the 70's (or maybe it was 80's don't really remember).

The guy started a company and was selling moon land. He did even gave the buyers signed papers confirming the ownership ,he did even include legal stuff about the ownership lol. You can find that full story here.

A good read, didn't know about this scam.

Hope has been doing this for 35 years how come he didn't get sued yet?

I can't see any defense in is case. "I thought i found a loop hole and emailed the US goverment they didn't respond so i just assumed that i was right"

Land in SAND,MANA or AXS are starting from 5-10k, Is there anyone who got in?
Too fucking expensive...lol.. Nonetheless, if I had the liquidity pretty sure would have aped into Sandbox or Decentraland..hihi

He never failed to deliver the service as described :D

He kind of did.

"Tanja Masson-Zwaan, president of the International Institute of Space Law in the Netherlands, told National Geographic in 2009 that the 1967 UN Outer Space Treaty applies to governments and their private citizens."

Hope is a citizen of some country (didn't researched which one) so technically the Space Treaty applies to him so he can't own any part of the moon or any satellite.

I'm pretty sure the claims he makes when selling land on the moon infringes some laws and would never hold up in court if he got sued. (I'm not a lawyer its just my opinion).

Now if he was stateless or works with anyone that is stateless technically they can legally sell land on the moon or other planets since they arent citizens of any country.

BHW members don't get any fancy ideas from this lol :D

I'd rather purchase a title at the principality of Sealand, $29.99

Yeah knew about that one
