The Biggest AC Challenge for Newbies

If you're a newbie to Internet marketing and writing AC content, you better learn to drive traffic to your articles.

You have zero control over on page seo factors and if you take a look, you will notice that the directory structure for articles at AC is less than optimal and rarely do you find an AC article ranked in the top 10 Google results.

And here is my favorite thing about it all... AC will decrease your payments if it deems that your articles don't get enough traffic. So traffic is a key component to success with AC.

I tried pinging my articles and that seemed to do absolutely nothing for page views. I am just starting to learn facebook and twitter and honestly, have no idea how any of that works from a marketers perspective yet.

I don't know if anyone wants to share how they promote their AC content or not, but at any rate, I wanted to let other newbies know that you cannot overlook traffic to your articles.

Any thoughts about the best places or resources to learn site promotion?

Try both social bookmarking and twitter to drive traffic to your AC article.

I am gonna try this: Publish 5 articles on the same topic, then use scrapebox to grab related blogs. Post thousands of comments with links to the articles. Just a one time blast after they are live. If you keep publishing, you really have to just to a basic amount then move on otherwise its just not possible to keep up.

I might try putting the URLs into BMD to get some social bookmark love too, I will see. I am just trying AC out for the first time today.

I am sorry, I have no idea what AC is. Anyone care to post what the abbreviation means? Obviously it is somewhere you submit articles to but one only article directories I know of and have used are ezinearticles, articlesbase and goarticles. None of these pay you for your articles either. Thanks in advance.

He was buying cheap traffic from PTC networks and sending it through a blank referer - not sure if that will work for AC but don't see why not.

As of yesterday I started using OnlyWire. You have to create accounts for all the bookmarking sites and it saves the info. I put there button on my sites and its free if you show their ad at the bottom of the button. There are ~20 sites that work seemlessly with it.

Blank Referrer won't work, because why your refer would be blank if you don't use BH.

That's like asking why give up all your freedoms if you have nothing to hide. Some people just want to respect privacy.

Back on topic though, you can optimize your AC articles fairly well with their tags and such. What I used to do was just write reviews on new electronics that just came out, and I would get page 1 within a day every time.

I had used traffic bug on hubpages a few months ago and had absolutely terrible results. I don't know if traffic bug has improved at all, but it used to be shit. You can get clout 1 to clout 4 in two weeks without traffic bug.

This is more what I was looking for... how are you fellow AC users going about doing this without using blackhat techniques? Where should newbies be looking to learn how to do this?
