What is your blog about? Youtube could be a goldmine for you. Have a channel on youtube, and grow your audience there. Then have certain perks (does not have to be valuable.. for example, exact ingridients list by weight if you had a recipe channel) for visiting your site from the channel.

.in domain give best results for your type of blog, and Make backlinks.

One con/disadvantage of .in or any domain other than TLD other than .com is people accidentally will link to .com instead of .in.
There's another one.
.com version will steel some of your traffic for free.
So if someone wants to link to your domain mydomain.in , they will accidentally link to mydomain.com.
If your competition is mydomain.com he will not only get free traffic but also free backlinks.
The solution is to buy .com and redirect it to your .in.
