Hide links from users

Hi,

Started a new marketing job for a single business. I use to work for a marketing agency that marketed to a few thousand sites, and I still have access to them all.

What would be the best way to put a single backlink on a few of these sites I still have access to, but hide it from users and or the website owner?

Did you ask your new boss for permission to do this?

What you'd end up doing is illegal and can get legal action... wouldn't wanna ruin a business, would we?
