Well, you need to promote it.
If nobody knows about your subreddit, nobody knows what you post there.
It doesn't matter how great your content is if nobody knows where/how to find it.

You can either manually crosspost, mention and promote through DMs, or choose paid advertising to attract interested people. For some niches, it's difficult to promote due to less audience. I'd suggest you to do some research and find targeted subreddits similar to yours. If their engagement is low, then it's better to switch to another niche or platform.

Crossposting works with adult niches but you really need to be dropping the sub in comments for anything non-adult related.
