Hii,

Seasons greetings !!

Which english version should we use to better rank our websites when writing blog posts, is it US english or UK english. Or both carries the same weight.

Though majority of the world population use UK english, Since Google ,Bing , Yahoo all are from US was wondering wether they prefer US english over UK.

Any personal experiences? recommendations?

Thank you

US ofcourse, USA have highest traffic for almost all niche.

Queen's english for the win anytime/anywhere in life.

USA english for websites.

My understanding is it doesn't play any role for SEO --
maybe for users (and conversions), but not directly for SEO.
So short answer, if you think most of your website visitors are going to be American
and you are aiming at an American market or selling an American-centric product you should write in
American English on the website and stick to that for consistency.

Definitely US English for sites, as this is being used worldwide, and UK versions just in a few states.

It's depending on your website target location OP, you target the US market write US writers or the UK write the UK writes, The mechanical differences between U.S. and U.K. English do not affect SEO as far as Google is concerned,

Firstly, you need to know who you are writing for this is probably more important than where your business is based - for example, American Apparel should use American spelling even in the UK as being American is integral to what they do.

I would suggest you to first check the your audience that you are targeting for an example if you are getting 80% of the traffic from USA then it would beneficial to use US English for your blog post

US English For Websites

Use the language of people you're targeting... Most of the english speaking countries have kinda their own version of it.

Yeah if its for traffic purposes use US traffic.

If you ever want to speak REAL English in real life though, pronounce it in UK english.
Make sure you pronounce colour with the U
