i think buying land on a fucking metaverse that doesn't even exist or will exist because it takes at least a decade for it is shit, it will deprecciate so easily as it's been growing trust me, it isn't like that domain .com bubble in 90's, because it doesn't have any effect at all or beneficiary / features, the people that are buying NFT's for example are not buying that for the word of art let's be honest, it's just "bro i will buy that god hope it will grow so i do profit", it's really no really marketing skills behind it either talent.

i think zuck's meta just thought snapchat and google promoted their shit so bad that they try on their own and made their own shit, easy.
let's be honest VR existed from like 2016 right? it's nothing really changed from that times that could be revolutionary in metaverse

In hopes to coerce younger generations of NEETs and kids with things they do like play video games or "listen to billy elish" is more time to spend exposed to metaverse and services, but also very important to get them invested in it, their time.

If you watch zuckerbot promoting his secondlife ripoff in his staged interview, its more of a sales pitch to his investors, and its all balancing on whether they can convince enough 13 year olds to play it
The rest of the hype is the older generation that dont know what kids want, or are convinced the next generation will bring wealth to this platform.

long story short, NFTs in metaverse is another marketing meme (FOMO), the first of anything that comes out, is never the first choice (blockbuster -> Netflix) - metaverse will be proceeded by a platform that will take metaverses mistakes and introduce the real value and potential of VR

we must understand that metaverse will be at a small-medium global scale, it will not enter in massive never, it just can't

well facebook is doing a ecosystem adding non-necessary things all the way in a shit that's out dated.

im sure that metaverse will be just a temporary thing that would not last too much, because you just lose attraction as everything else

I think VR isn't catching on because the technology is not good enough (I see all the pixels and the space between them - ughhh) or too expensive.

It will become good enough and it'll explode in the future. But probably zuck wont win the game because there will be thousands of small agile and creative companies from which some will nail the virtual world race and zuck will be left off with trying to replicate their features.

I guess VR is a marketers wet dream, its all about catching your attention billboard/brands/blimps/TVs - but with now a screen glued to your eyes, and companies with a lot of disposable income to make you do it...

I think with the attitude we have now about VR it seems exhausting and clunky, more of a phase with our current tech, but lets say, this tech is less about a screen on your face, and more about idk ...augmented reality.

And if we consider the monopolization of private entities that can capture your attention, such as the windows of bus/car/train journeys, windows of your house, your mirror, even as far as your voice with alexa.
The evidence that these companies could install such tech into everyday items, is uber (cars), airbnb(homes), smart tech(alexa etc), christ even our doorbells and light switches.

I think nobody wants to completely immerse themselves into a glitchy clippable world. but instead combine real life with a virtual controllable environment

And This is bad more than anything as no one buys virtual real estate from you even after 10 years to give just 10% annual ROI. If you are lucky then you might generate 3-4% annual ROI after 10 years and that too only if developers bring positive changes to real estate. I would never buy virtual or real life real estate as investment. No other place like real estate to get your money stuck for life and you wouldn't be able to sell it.

In my opinion, it only has a chance of success if the metaverse is a duplicate of the real world, with the same physical laws. Take a potential merge between Flight Simulator 2020, Google Map/Street, and GTA, with an economic and political system like the real world, and a real incentive to make your life in this virtual world (eg real money...).

This would be a world where we can test new ideas/innovations before releasing them for real. A kind of a "world simulator", in all aspects.

But we are not ready technically I guess. This idea is doomed to fail again for now.
