Anyone else having issues with Googlebot only crawling homepage and not indexing inner pages/posts?

Not exactly like this, but a lot of my posts are not indexed and everyone is going through this issue in the recent semester.
Unfortunately, no available solution.

Your website is new? Because new websites take some time to crawl innerpages.

If the site is new it's normal that it takes some time for algorithms to index all pages, especially inner ones as they are last in the schedule. You can also check in Google Search Console if they reported some issue.

you may need to wait a few days after publishing your post see it indexed again if there hasn't been any activity on your site in days or months

if your site's page is indexed on other search engines, most likely google is going to index them.
So submit URL links on bing webmaster tools and wait

Yes, new websites do that.

Happened to 2 of my new splogs but inner pages will start indexing soon, up to 7 days after homepage was indexed.

Yep. I have multiple sites/inner pages with very high metrics that used to get crawled almost immediately but everything has basically stopped. Even my high PA/DA parasites are not getting getting indexed at all atm. I've been out of action for the last 3 months but have noticed that even submitting my own properties to Google Search Console for indexing doesn't work these days. I'm about to try another external service and see how that goes.

I have a theory what might be happening....and I emphasise might...

So it could just be a bug but indexing has been shit for almost a year now. Or from what I've seen anyways.

Google has limited crawling resources and with GPT-3 we've seen an explosion in mass pages websites with AI content. I've never seen so many mass page journeys on bhw and threads about mass page sites taking over the serps.

So maybe their overall crawl budget is going more on these high sites with millions of pages rather than your new small websites.

Just a possible theory.

I am also facing this issue. You can submit your URLs to inspection. they will get indexed
