so its been 1 month since i change my site theme from neve to Generatepress.

since i have GP premium license so i better use Gpress than Neve free vrsion, after that day by day traffic went down.

till now i loss -50% of my traffic and not yet back to normal, so i change my theme back to neve, after 2 weeks also nothing happened.

traffic not recovered, i've tried adding some backlinks and edit some of my articles earlier, resubmit some articles to GSC after edited and nothing happen.

i've also read many related threads on BHW, and yes i've done all the answer what people say

wait for 2 weeks, if the traffic not recover go back to the previous theme, i've done it.

any suggestions? should i just ignor this and continue add more articles, will my traffic recover in the end? please, i apreciate any help

Did you see any changes in the speed metrics when activating the Generatepress theme?

Have there been any changes in the connection structure? Did you make sure that the topics in your old theme were entered via google?

Your theme can affect your ranking to a large degree. Because it's impact factors important for SEO such as your website’s stability, speed, content, metadata, and indexation.

Usually, if we know how we lost the traffic and we can figure out how to get it back. I think this may be the main reason for your traffic loss.

Your theme is,

1. Decrease your site load speed
2. Secretly modify your SEO metadata
3. Changed or removed your structured data
4. Modified your site search functionality
5. Changed your content formatting (headings)
6. Modify default image sizes and their indexation

Kindly focus on these things. and also

1. Choose an SEO-friendly theme
2. Reduce plugin usage with a functional theme
3. Do not change your theme too often
4. Crawl your website before and after the change
5. Double-check both external and installed scripts
6. Ensure your Metadata and meta keywords

Keep working.. Everything will go well... Good Luck..
