[Journey] Building an iOS & Android App Empire

do you recommend Flutter or you prefer Swift/Java?

i am using admob mediation with FAN two mounths ago , but the fill rate of FAN is very LOW because of ads serving limit on admob (50k request to 15K impression LOL)
Yes and the main reason is it only shows ads to the people who have the Facebook app installed on their phone. So its recommended to never use FAN alone. Really need a 2nd ad network. If Admob is not possible, try Applovin or Unity.

Any updates or plans for Christmas sales
Nope, I don't have any ecommerce apps yet.

Flutter is probably the best option. You can also make web apps using Flutter and they keep improving. They just released Flutter 2.8.

Update:

Earnings: $60-90 daily - its passive income. I didn't spend any time on the existing apps, so I think its pretty good.

Work progress: I published 2-3 iOS apps in the past few weeks which brings me around $10-20 additionally.

Ad spent: $0 - I didn't spend any money on app installs in the past two/three months. All the earnings are from organic traffic only.

Whats next?

Currently I am reading a lot about mobile games. How to monetize them correctly, how to keep users active, etc. all that jazz. Its really complicated and there are so many things to consider. One thing is for sure: If I make mobile game, then I don't want to randomly publish shitty games, I want to make really good ones. Ones that I can easily scale with a great ARPU (average revenue per user). These are all things to consider. Once you make a game where you earn more money than you spend for app installs, its super easy to scale. Basically, its just a numbers game.

About the total earnings since I started this thread:

Its been around 14 months since I started this thread and the apps alone gave me a profit of around $25k so far. This is after all I spent for app installs, keyword installs, etc. The profit could have been way higher (at least double amount!) if wouldn't have spend a significant amount of time dealing with Google (app removal, account termination, etc.). Its somehow funny that apps that NEVER caused a single problem on the Apple App Store are always deleted on Google and they keep removing accounts for ridiculous reasons.

So what I am planning to do with the profit? Well, I could use it to develop other apps. Especially when it comes to setting up the backend I am a real noob. Or I could also use the money to go into other niches, for example ecommerce. Maybe I will do both.

you can use Wordpress as you backend, and use any template on the Market.. it saves a lot of time.

for backend i'm using firebase it's good , you can give it a try , simple and easy to learn.
i just want to know what IDE you will use for developing games ?

after getting my apps banned on google play .. i still believe there is lot of money to be made here . also never use admob alone in APP . they f@cked me for 90 days again after making consistent 20$ per day and when my game got banned they just put limit of 90 days i think not sure ... but i will try to make apps again

thanks @nakamura this thread is best and thanks for great motivation and now i just earn some cents on admob :(

Sure, I will check Firebase. So far I only used it for analytics. For games I use Unity, Android Studio and I will also take a look at BuildBox soon.

Definitely a lot of money to be made. They got all the users and in my opinion there is no real competition. Unfortunately, Google are absolute crooks.

are game html5 and buildbox based are good for earning?

yes, buildbox is pretty good I heard. I will give it a try soon. About HTML5 games...not sure..

Uploaded another Flutter app to the Apple App Store and to Google Play (created a new Google Play account for it)

and I have to say:

Apple is just so much better than Google....think about the Apple products whatever you want, but they are really supporting developers and won't do any random shit to them.

Example: Two weeks ago someone messaged Apple about a trademark in one of my apps. At this point, Google would have terminated my account. What did Apple do? They redirected the original trademark complain to my email and said I can either prove that I am allowed to use the trademark or I can just remove the app temporarily/permanently. I removed the app and the problem was solved. Apple send me another email and said "alright, everything solved". Thats it.

Just a short reminder: Google suspended one of my apps before because there was a GRAMMAR MISTAKE in the CHINESE TRANSLATION of the app description. They took this as a reason to suspend the whole app. LOL.

How about other things?

Two days ago I uploaded the Android version (of the Flutter app I wrote in the first paragraph) and it still didn't get through the review.

Today I uploaded the iOS version of the same app and WITHIN 3 HOURS they reviewed and published the app. Besides this, you can always message the Apple support (or the guy who reviews the app) and ask them questions, etc.

Its just unbelievable (in my opinion) how much of a quality difference there is between the Google Play and Apple App Store....and I am not talking about the apps, I am talking about the management and how things are getting done.

Can we get a revenue update?
Daily profit of $60-90. Amount is always different every day, because of how many people watch the ads and click on the ads, etc.
This is profit. I dont spend any money for advertising/marketing.

Have you registered Google Play and apple developer accounts under a company or is it on your legal name?

Both. The company Google Play account got terminated tho - for absolutely no reason.
With Apple I have a personal account (which I made first around 2-3 years ago) and a company account which I made last year.
